Hello people! I've been anxious all week to write more of this, so I'm writing this on my kindle because I cant get on my computer. If there are any random spelling errors, blame autocorrect.

"Laid off?" I asked once I found the words to speak.
"Yeah, since I just started here about a year ago, I was the first to be let go." He said, sounding upset. "Reg, I don't know what we're going to do about money. We had a hard enough time with my paycheck." He said.
"I'm at your parents house, why don't you come here and we can talk about this." I told him, walking into their house.
"Alright, I'll see you in a few." He said, hanging up the phone.
"Hi, Reagan. How are you?" Mom asked pleasently from the living room.
"Not terrific, Nolan got laid off." I told her, flopping on the couch.
"Oh no! How is he taking it?" She asked, her hand flying to her mouth.
"I don't know, he sounded worried, and I don't blame him." I said. We've been having money troubles. The fact that he lost his job was causing my stomach to churn uncomfortably. "He's coming here."
"You are always welcome to stay here as long as you need to." She said.
"We're going to have to talk about it." I said, as if on cue, the front door opened and Nolan came in, looking sad. I jumped up and walked over to him, wrapping my arms around his middle.
"Hey, Reg." He said, hugging me back. "do you mind if we go back to our apartment to discuss this?"
"Sure." I said pulling out of his hug. "Bye mom, can you or Ethan pick Izzy up from school?" I asked.
"Of course, do you want me to watch her?"
"If that's all alright."
"Of course, sweetie. Now go, enjoy some alone time." She said. We thanked her and left.
"I got a ride from Steve, so we'll have to take your car." Nolan said, referring to his friend from work.
"Can you drive?" I asked, handing him the keys.
"Are you okay?" He asked. "You love driving."
"Yeah, I'm just really tired."
"Okay...are you going to want to take a nap?"
"No, we really need to talk about this." I told him, buckling my seatbelt.
"I still have two more weeks worth of paychecks. We don't really HAVE to talk about it right now." He said, pulling out of the driveway and heading home. I just nodded, fading in and out of sleep.

"Reagan...we're home." Nolan said, shaking me lightly.
"Already? Did you speed again?"
"Not much. You fell asleep pretty quickly."
"Oh."
"Are you feeling okay?"
"I'm fine, Nolan." I said, somewhat irritated.
"Sorry...geesh, I was just wondering." He answered, putting his hands up in mock surrender.
"Sorry, that came out harsher than I intended." I said, getting out of the car. "Wanna sleep with me?" I asked and Nolan wriggled his eyebrows at me.
"Not like that!" I said, slapping his arm playfully. "I meant take a nap."
"Ohhh!" He smirked. "Nah, I'm not tired." He said.
"Then carry me?" I asked, holding my arms out. He chuckled and picked me up, carrying me bridal style. I wrapped my arms around his neck, trying to keep my eyes open. "So, basically, you have two weeks of paid vacation time?" I asked in an attempt to keep myself awake.
"Yup, that's the gist of it." He said, walking up the front steps.
"How are you doing, Nolan? Honestly."
"I'm worried that we won't have anywhere to go." He said, setting me down so he could open the door. I walked into tthe living room, plopping on the couch.
"Mom said we could move in with them if we need to." I said.
"Yeah...but I'd rather that be our last resort. I mean, I love my family, but I like it just being the three of us." He said and I nodded in agreement.
"So its settled then, we'll stay here until they kick us out." ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
I don't exactly know how long this is, because I'm writing this on some notepad app I have. I'm planning on editing this tomorrow (well, my version. Editing for me is the spell/grammar check on word). Please comment and vote, thanks!
PS So today was my birthday, and I got a bag of Laffy taffy. That made my week. :D
