Six weeks passed, and Brayden was eight months old and furniture cruising.

“Regan…where are you?” Nolan shouted from downstairs.

“I’m in our room!”

“We have a doctor’s appointment in about an hour.  Are you almost ready?” He asked, poking his head into our room.

“Yeah, um, Brayden’s crying, can you let him out of his crib, please?”  I asked, rubbing my stomach and wincing slightly.

“What’s wrong?”

“Just a cramp.”

“Is that bad? You didn’t get those with Bray, did you?” He asked nervously.

“I’m not sure…but we have an appointment soon, so we can ask the doctor.  Now go get Bray.”

“How are you so calm?”

I shrugged. “Because I know there’s nothing wrong with the baby; I can feel it.”

“I’ll go get Bray.  Are you sure you’re okay?”

I rolled my eyes. “I’m fine, Nolan.”

“So how has this pregnancy been treating you so far?” Dr. Lee asked me.

“It’s been…eh.  Definitely different than my last one…I feel fatter.”

She chuckled.  “Any other symptoms?”

“I’ve been really tired, and nauseous…like, extremely nauseous.  Uh…I got kind of dizzy a few times last week and the week before that, and I’ve had this weird cramp in the lower part of my belly.”

“All those are normal symptoms at this stage in your pregnancy.”

“Even the cramp thingy?” Nolan piped up.

“That’s just the ligaments around your belly stretching out to make room for the baby.” She told me and I let out a sigh of relief.

“Kay, good.” Nolan sighed.

“Shall we take a look at your baby?”  She asked and I nodded, lying back on the table.  She lifted my shirt over the prominent bump that was my stomach not too long ago.  “Now…how far along did we say you were?”

“Twelve weeks.”  I said as she squirted the gel on my stomach.

“Here’s your baby.” She said pointing to the screen.

“Is that…” Nolan said, sitting up straighter in his seat and gripping onto my hand.

“It isn’t…is it?” I said, squinting at the screen and looking at the doctor in confusion.

“It seems as if we’ve discovered why you’re bigger than usual.” She smiled.  “Congratulations, you’re having twins.”

“Twins?”  Nolan said, his face becoming extremely pale.

“Are you alright?” I asked, looking at him with concern.

“Two…we’re having twins.” He repeated.

“I’ll just give you two a few minutes to…digest all of this.” Dr. Lee said, slipping out of the room while Nolan and I just stared at the screen in shock.

Hey guys! Sorry it’s so short, but I really wanted to get this up.  I’m going out of town, so the next upload will be next weekend.

Do any of you watch Lost?  I think it’s safe to say that I’m obsessed.  I started watching it last Saturday night, and I’m on episode 24 of season 1.  That may not seem like a lot, but each episode is like, 42 minutes long.
