My hand touched the dial of the cold locker, and shivered.
5, 38, 9.
I silently mouthed the numbers, turing the dial.
I got it open, and stared inside for a few seconds. It wasn't big. At all. In total, it must have been seven inches wide. It was pretty tall though, so I guess it's ok.
I stuffed in my math stuff from my previous class, and looked down at my phone. It read 9:47. Lunch for me was in about three hours, which meant I had three classes left beforehand.
I looked down at the paper I had gotten from the office. I had computer next. I had been pretty good with computers at my old school, getting a high B easily. It would have been an A, but the teacher took off a bunch of points for the week I was sick.
I sighed, and pushed my locker shut.
I walked off, and wandered down the hallway right of me. That's where I was told to go by the principal.
The classroom the last one on the right side of the hallway, no windows around, causing it to be darker. I shuddered, and walked into the open door.
There was many kids already there, leaving four spots open. There were cards with names on them. I saw mine next to a guy and a girl. I grimaced. I know that your not supposed to judge by looks. But I could already tell I was going to hate the girl.
The girl had long, light brown hair, which was streaked with blonde. As I walked closer, I could tell what she was wearing. A thin pink jacket was on her shoulders, hiding most of the straps on her black tank top. She had jean short shorts on, covering only half of her thighs.
She suddenly pushed her chair back, and smacked the boy that was next to my seat. I watched in confusion as she stood up, and walked away. She stopped in front of me, and stared me down. She clicked her tongue, and walked past. I was confused, and looked at where she had been sitting. The boy was now turned around, rubbing his cheek gently. I slowly approached my seat, and noticed there was no actual card where the girl had been sitting.
I slowly walked over as he turned around. I pulled the chair out, and sat down. I was curious about what had just happened, but didn't ask the boy beside me.
Now that I got a chance too look at him, I could see his face. Blue eyes, brown hair with slightly blonde streaks, and a distinctive green hoodie. I quickly looked away.
After a few moments, the bell rang, signalling class started.
"Turn your computer's on, and log in," the male teacher instructs. I turn it on, and look at my card to see my username and password on it.
I logged in, and sat back. I looked at the boy beside me, who was continuously trying to log in. I smirked, and watched him groan.
"Want help?" I asked. He shrugs, and pushed the keyboard my way. I smiled, and looked at his card.
Haneth, Justin.
I typed his name in, his last name first, then his first. I typed his password in the next line, and hit enter. It logged him in, and he looked confused.
"Did you type in your username the right way?" I asked. He shrugged.
"I thought it was first then last. I guess they changed it," he replied. I nodded, and pulled away from his keyboard, going back to mine. "So, you new here?" He asks. "You don't look familiar."
"Yeah. Me and my brother moved here over the summer," I replied. He nods, and looks back on his computer.
"What's your next class?" He questions. I pulled my schedule from my pocket, and looked at it.
"Consumer Science. Whatever that is." He chuckled.
"Cooking. I have that next to, coincidently. I hate the teacher. Mrs. Fitty is a clean freak. You make a mess, and clean it up to the point you can't see it, she manages to find something wrong," he chuckled. I smirked.
"Well, that class seems great. I can't wait," I say. He smiled, and we stopped talking to listen to the instructions.
"So, you play any sports?" He asks.
"Not yet," I replied. "I'm hoping to get into softball though. How about you?"
"I'm into soccer," he replied. I smiled.
"Soccer's cool." And we spent the rest of class chatting. He didn't seem to bad.
