I laid in bed that night, looking at the ceiling, and shivering. It was freezing, despite Jaime turning the heat really high up, and a heavy blanket on my cold body.
I heard my phone go off, and groaned. I looked at it, and sighed. There was only an hour left before getting up.
I sighed, and got out of bed. I didn't finish my homework, so I might as well do that.
I flicked on the lamp, and pulled my bookbag closer. I took out my unfinished math.
After a bit, I finished it. I went back through it, determined to get every answer correct. I always do like being precise, even on the small things.
After I finished looking over it, and redoing some problems, I groaned.
I pulled up my bag, and pulled out my homework for consumer science. I looked up the answers me, Justin, and Lacy didn't find.
My alarm went off, and I jumped in surprise, considering I had been here in silence for so long. But why did it seem so quick?
I shrugged it off, and got Sam up. We got ready, and headed down for breakfast.

I bit the end of my pencil, watching as the teacher wrote the answers on the board. I sighed, erasing my answer for number eight and fifteen. I bit my lip instead of my pencil.
"You change your answers?" Ava sneered behind me. I felt my grip on my lip from my teeth become harder. It kinda hurt, but it seemed better then turning and yelling at her.
"In the end, it doesn't matter. She doesn't check your answers," Sadie agreed. I tuned them out, hoping they'd shut up. Actually, they did. I was surprised.
I went the rest of the class without disruption.
Though, the class was boring. They taught what my old school taught, not really anything new.
I tuned out, and the class went by pretty fast. And finally the bell rang, making me jump from my seat.
I smiled, and gathered my stuff. I walked into computer, and noticed a name card by where mine was yesterday.
Halney, Baby
I was confused by the name. Who named their kid Baby?
"Hey," Justin greeted. I nodded, and sat by him. He was already logged in.
"You did it yourself?" I gasped. He smirked.
"Funny," he laughed. I looked at the name card.
"Baby Halney. Who names their kid Baby?" He shrugged.
"My momma and daddy," a voice behind me spoke, drawing out a southern accent. I turned around. A girl with a white tank top and jeans stood there. She had blonde, almost completely yellow hair.
"Sorry," I said under my breath, looking down. She chuckled.
"Nah nah, I get it," she giggled, sitting by me. "I know my name's a bit off." I smiled.
"Well, I'm Raylin," I said. She stuck her hand out, which I shook. She smiled, and ran a hand through her light yellow hair. If you asked me to describe her, the first thing I'd point out is how yellow her hair looked. She turned her computer on, and logged in. "She can do it on the first try," I teased Justin. He rolled his eyes, and focused on his computer.
"Oh hush," he says, making me smile. I looked at him, and sighed.
"Your computer's not supposed to glitch like that- oh my god, what did you do?" I gasped, laughing. He pulled his hands away from his keyboard, and I shut his computer down. He looked at me as I turned it back on, and logged him in. Glitches were gone.
"Nerd..." he mumbled, pulling Google up.
"Did you just call me a nerd?" I gasped.
"Uhh, no. Never. Why would I call you a nerd? Who called you a nerd?!" He stands up, balling his hands into fists, fake mad. "I'll beat them up!"
"Funny," I laughed, and pulled him back down. "Now work on your project."
He groaned, but typed in,
'Washington, D.C. facts'.
Our project was to write about a place, and type it up on the computer. Just to get used to typing.
"Of all the places, you pick D.C.?"
"Don't talk about it..." he mumbled.
