A/N

I just wanted to say a few quick words before you get stuck into this chapter. I wanted to thank all of you who read my first book "The impression that i get" and then continued to the sequel. I never thought in my wildest dreams that more than 2 people would actually read my stuff. There aren't many more chapters left to publish so I hope you have enjoyed reading my little story.
Happy reading =)

Chapter 23
It had been days since that day in the forest with Jennifer. Much of the pack still don't know what really happened, only a select few had been graced with the intimate and gory details of her final moments. We all came to an agreeance that this was beyond any psychological issues Jennifer may have had and was instead to be the result of a supernatural occurrence.
Jason and I had talked privately about what had happened with me and my erratic werewolf powers a few nights before.
**back to that night**
"As I kneeled in the stream I remember feeling so angry, I swear I could feel my blood boil and suddenly the water begun to glow and I felt this strange power surge through me and before I knew it the water had worked itself over my body somehow healing me of all my injuries" I said staring off into the distance, I watched the scene play over in my head and even now I could feel that same anger and rage that coursed through my veins that day just talking about the events that unfolded.
Jason looked down, I could see his eyes searching for answers obviously never hearing of this type of power before.
"It's amazing Sarah, truly it is. I've never heard of any supernatural creature being able to heal using the elements. I mean werewolves heal faster than normal human beings but not that fast" He paused and I watched his jawline tense for a moment.
"I'm just worried" He said with a bite to his lip.
"Aren't you always worried?" I said as I stood up from the bed and leaned against the edge of the window.
"I'm trying my best not to be so over protective these days Sarah but I have to voice my concern" He said as he stood behind me at the window. "You may not know this Sarah but a werewolf use their emotions to make the shift from human to wolf, especially for their first shift. If you're first shift is from the result of anger I'm afraid of what will happen to you"
"What are you talking about?" I turned to meet his gaze and he reached for my hands gently.
"Your first shift has such an emotional pulse through your body Sarah. I've heard of people shifting through anger for their first shift and it changes them, that negativity never leaves and their anger is never satisfied, no matter the person they were before they are changed forever" Tears started to bubble in his eyes and I instinctively gripped his hand tight as I felt the pain of watching my mate being on the brink of crying.
"I couldn't bear to think of that happening to you" He said with a broken voice. I stepped closer to him and raised my hands to hold his face, he opened his red eyes and he looked at me solemnly.
"Teach me then, teach me to as strong a wolf as you and my first shift will be full of love because you would have been the one to teach me to do it" His head nodded in my hands and he smiled as he blinked away the tears.
We kissed and it was then I realised how long it had been since we had, had a kiss such as this, it was warm and it was comforting and I savoured every last fleeting second of it.

**back to the present**
Jason and I waited outside his father's office nervously waiting to tell him my theory of what is happening to his pack members. It was a long shot, but it was the only shot they had. Jason's father Cain knew of my situation as did most members of his pack, but to say I had visions of my "Goddess" mother telling me of this possible hybrid attacking his pack, it was fair to say that I sounded like a nut job.
As we were greeted into his office I felt my palms start to sweat and my knees became weak. I had no reason to fear Jason's father, he had all been but nice and welcoming me into his family but he had a stern look about him and apparently his mood swings were just as unpredictable as Jason's.
"Good evening sir" Jason said with a nod towards his father who sat behind a large mahogany desk. He didn't look up from his papers on his desk as we entered the room but rather motioned his hand for us to sit on the chairs in front of him.
"Evening Jason, Sarah. What is it you have come to see me about?" Finally he lifted his head and his eyes met ours, they were an intense pale green and if you looked closely you could see two faint scars under his left eye.
"Sarah and I believe we have a lead on the creature that is attacking our pack" His eyebrows pricked with interest as he nodded for Jason to continue. Jason looked at me giving me the all clear to explain what I saw, I took a long deep breath and held my gaze with Alpha Cain and begun retelling the story of the vision I had not so long ago.
Cains expression did not change once through the whole story, never hinting whether he believed me or not by the end of it. He paused for some time before finally clearing his throat and stood up from his chair, he moved toward a large cabinet that held an assortment of alcoholic drinks.
"Would you two like a scotch?" He asked as he gathered the glasses not waiting to hear our responses before pouring the drinks.
"Here" He said as he thrusted the drinks into our hands. He sat back down at his desk and took a long swig of his drink.
"Father?" Jason asked hesitantly.
"What do you know about the day your great Aunt Abigail died?" Cain asked. Jason furrowed his brows in confusion.
"She had died at the hands of her brother by accident. He thought a vampire was killing her but the vampire claimed they were lovers and her blood healed him. Why are you asking this father?" I knew this story, Jason had told me when we had just started dating.
"What I am about to say can never leave this room! Am I clear?" We both nodded and knocked our glasses of scotch back, readying ourselves for whatever we were about to hear.
