CHAPTER THREE

HILLERY'S POV

After ko magmall last time with Mel, almost one week akong pabalik balik sa RLU para ayusin yung mga papers ko sa pagtransfer. Desidido na talaga akong lumipat. Within that one week medyo naging maayos na yung pakiramdam ko kahit papaano. 3 months had passed, siguro oras nadin para mag-move on. Sana lang kayanin ko.

RLU stands for Rochfort Lunther University. Isa to sa mga sikat na school not just here in our country but also sa ibang bansa, sobrang prestige kasi netong school. Rules are rules yet they make sure na balance ang studies and fun time ng students while Frent stands for Frent University medyo awkward naman kung sa initials ko tatawagin, FU ganern? ha ha ha. K ang corny?

Unfortunately hindi nacredit lahat ng subjects ko sa Frent. That's why irregular student ako this coming semester for this school year! Omg. Loner for a sem at mas marami yung minor subjects ko rather than my major subjects. I don't know if this is going to be a good thing.

Pasukan na bukas and ugh nakakatamad pang pumasok but I have no choice kailangan kong imaintain yung scholarship or pagiging deans lister ko simula nung nasa Frent ako. Not just to make my parents proud but to prove to them that I'm worth it. I admit it, maganda ako pero sabi nila kapag maganda bobo daw, aba kinaganda ba nila pagsasabi non? Eh mas matalino pa ata ako sa kanila. To be honest, I want to prove to them that being beautiful is just part of being smart.

It's already 10 in the evening. I'm about to sleep ng naisipan kong icheck yung phone ko and fortunately I've got a message.

Shitty alarm clock. Tsss. Yung feeling na ang sarap sarap ng tulog mo tapos biglang magriring yung alarm mo, ang sarap ibato! Pero nung papatayin ko na yung alarm clock pagkakita ko sa oras. WTF!!!! It's almost 8 in the morning! I need to prepare now or else malalate ako.

Pagkalapag ko ng phone ko tumakbo na agad ako sa CR para maligo halos madulas ako sa pagmamadali buti nalang nakakapit ako sa may pintuan.

Mabilis din akong natapos maligo since malalate na 'ko. Time to fix myself.

Ragged Jeans (check), Simple V-neck Shirt (check), Flats (check) and lastly Shoulder bag (check).

Konting lipstick, konting blush on at konting powder and there I'm ready to go.

I'm on my way to RLU ng naisipan kong buksan yung radio ng sasakyan ko. And guess what's playing? When you say nothing at all lang naman po. Tssss. Bitter ako sa kantang to. Why? Favorite kasi ni Rivas na kantahin to sa'kin, dahil eksakto daw sa kanya slash sa nararamdaman niya yung mga lines sa kanta na 'yan. Whatever, Rivas!

Umagang umaga medyo nakakaBV ha. Mamaya na nga ko magddrama. It's almost 9 in the morning. Shoot! Malalate na talaga ako.

Pagdating ko sa school pinark ko na agad yung kotse ko sa university car park. I didn't even bother to retouch myself bago bumaba. I went straight to the corridors heading to our classroom.

Halos pakbo na kong pumasok sa loob ng university, bye bye sa poise ko. ha ha ha. K!

At dahil malas ako today, I suddenly bumped onto someone. Shit naman! Natapunan ako ng water! Pero konti lang dahil mas marami sa kanya. Pero the fish natapunan padin ako! And guess what? Tinakbuhan lang ako nung nakabunguan ko. Nakakabadvibes!

Jerk. Rude. Stupid. Asshole guy! Bwisit! Wala naman na kong magagawa kundi pumasok sa klase ko kahit late na ko.

Good thing mabait yung prof ko. Pero syempre dahil first day kailangan magpakilala. So "Hi. My name is Hillery Vivien Pristilla, 18 years old, 2nd year Biology Major, from Frent. Hope to be friends with you"

And there, umupo nalang ako sa bandang likod. Since puno na sa harap.

It's lunch time. And my phone automatically beeped.

Beee, where are you? I'm on my way to the cafeteria. See you sa entrance.

I guess di ko na kailangan magreply since alam ko na kung saan kami magkikita. Alam ko na rin ang pasikot sikot dito sa RLU dahil nakapagtour nadin naman ako sa kakapabalik-balik ko noong enrollment.

As I reach the cafeteria.....

"Beee here!" sigaw ni Mel. Wtfish. Eskandalosang bubuyog to!

I half smiled at lumapit sa kanya "Ang ingay mo para kang high school. Kaya wala kang boyfriend eh." Pangiinis ko sa kanya.

"Oh? Anong connect ng pagkakaroon ng boyfriend ko don?" medyo iritang sagot ni Mel. Hahaha. Pikon.

Tinawanan ko siya ng slight "Gaga, childish ka kasi masyado. Grow up! Act as your age Melea! Let's eat, may class pa ko after this!" pumila na kami sa bilihahan ng pagkain, iniwan namin yung bags namin para walang makaupo sa table namin wala rin namang mawawala doon.

After we got our orders we went back to our table and start eating.

"Vivs, Girls night out later with the old ladies. I mean HS Friends damating si Yuri kahapon, kaso aalis din bukas. Since wala pa naman tayong masyadong ginagawa. Nagyaya sila tonight." said Melea as she broke the silence.

"Sure! Count me in. Just like the old times I guess? Same place same time?" I asked. Kailangan ko din naman sigurong itry magsaya ng hindi na kasama si Rivas diba?

And I found out Melea's reaction na para bang di makapaniwala. "What?" I asked and raised my eyebrow.

"OMGWTFBBQ. Srsly? Isang sabi ko lang pumayag ka na? Ikaw ba yan beee? Parang dati lang kailangan mga sampung pilitan pa ah." she exclaimed habang hinahawak hawakan ako sa katawan trying to check kung ako ba talaga si Hillery. OA talaga ng bestfriend ko.

"Dati yon Mel, dati! Kailangan kong harapin mag-isa yung mga bagay na nakasanayan kong gawin dati kasama siya. Dahil kung ikukulong ko ang sarili ko sa nakaraan, hindi ako makakausad." I smiled and finished my food

"See you later bee." I kissed her cheek and left.

Out of frustration. I grabbed my phone and blogged.

Today everything is about you. Why? Hindi ba ko pwedeng maging masaya ng wala ka na? You're happy now, I guess I need to enjoy and be happy too.
