Pardon that some parts weren't written in the usual Payb Takes format. 😊

January 1, 10:00pm, Laguna:

R sleeps soundly in his bed, after falling asleep while waiting for M to respond to his texts. She has been quiet the whole day, save for a few texts from Japan that afternoon saying that their flight has been delayed. She didn't answer his calls. He dozed off in the midst of the physical struggle caused by flu- like symptoms and a flurry of emotions starting to whirl wildly inside him: worry for M's well-being, sadness that he wasn't with her for New Year, alarm that she might not be with him on his birthday and a slight bit of anger.

The unreasonable anger, he wants to dismiss immediately so he decided to just sleep it off. R doesn't want to snap at M and cause another petty fight just because he is too emotional to understand at the moment.

It must be because R's last thoughts before sleeping was of M that he starts to have a very vivid dream of her. He sees a faint flash of light as his door creaked softly when it opened. R then hears quiet footsteps approaching his bed just as the sweet scent he missed so much fills his room. The scent he tried to save in the pillow he is hugging but has now sadly faded as he waited for the day she returns in his arms.

He feels the side of his bed drop slightly with the weight of someone lying beside him then a slender arm drape over his bicep as she pulls him close as the warm body he longed for molds against his back.

The back of his ear tingles with her soft breath against his skin as she whispers, "I missed you so much, Love. I'm finally home." Then her full cottony lips press a light kiss on his jaw.

Could it all be a dream when he can feel her gentle heart beat and her breath on his cheek as she leans her face against his?

R slowly opens his eyes and turns to face the beautiful dream he is having, hoping that maybe if he looks long enough M would really be there.

He smiles as his sleepy eyes met her bright brown ones. He reaches up with the arm her slender one is draped on and touches her soft cheek as a tear falls from his eye. "Sa sobrang miss ko sa'yo, mahal ko. Napapanaginipan na kita."

He sighs and closes his eyes as she holds the hand on her cheek and kisses his palm. "I'm really here, Love. Open your eyes."

And when he does, M is still there smiling at him then R realizes she isn't just a dream. "Love! Oh my God!"

He starts sobbing and tears flow uncontrollably down his face as he pulls her in for a passionate kiss, savoring every second the lips he yearned for spent on his.

Each moment their lips touched increases his desire to have more of her, he turns on his side to face her, collects her in his arms and pulls her close to his body. Their tears mix with the sweet taste of each other. Every part of him aches for her, thirsts for her and wants to engulf her to satisfy the craving he has been trying to tame all those days that she was gone.

He locks his leg around her thigh and pulls her as close to him as physically possible. His arms and mouth frantically exhausting all efforts to have as much of her as possible to appease the hunger in his heart and soul.

Then he suddenly stops, realizing that he is sick and could have already infected her with that kiss.

R: *pulls away, flustered and catching his breath, leans his forehead on hers* I'm so sorry, Love. Nakalimot ako. May trangkaso nga pala ako baka mahawaan ka. Sobra sobra sobrang miss lang talaga kita. *closes his eyes as he caresses her cheek*

M: Ssshhh... It's okay. I missed you so much too. Kahit ako nakalimot na. If you didn't realize, I was kissing you just as intensely. *giggles, sighs* I'm here, my home. Sobrang na-miss kita. I love you.
