Hand in hand they rushed through trees and grass, Running in the dark not minding anything they pass, Until they reach a lonely rustic hut, “Bind me with these chains! Not an if or a but.”
With quivering hands she complied, As he waited with eyes closed and sighed, “Bound to this post, I must remain. “Watch and decide if you'll still love me, Maine.”
On her knees she fell to face him, Both their eyes, tears filled to the brim, “Richard, you know, I will always love you, There is nothing in this world that will make me leave you.”
“You say that coz you've never seen, This awful secret I kept, my queen.” And through the open window, The bright moonlight turned his eyes yellow.
She moved back scared and astonished, But her affection never vanished, Teeth as sharp as knives came out, On his entire body, silver hair sprout.
On his loving hands, long razor-edged nails grew, Before her very eyes her beloved turned a new, Her heart raced with unexplainable fear, But deep in her heart she still held him dear.
And as the big bright blood moon rose, Her beloved Richard's secret come exposed, His human form now completely stranded, A large white wolf now stood instead,
To break free from the chains he charged and growled, To the full moon he angrily howled, Despite all the odds, she made up her mind, A scratch on the hand, to eternity their love will bind.
