Chloe walked around the precinct with a smile on her face after the kiss, she'd told Lucifer to go out and look after Lux seem as it was getting late and he'd be opening soon. Chloe even hummed a Little Mix song that Trixie had been playing earlier that day, Dan furrowed his brows as he watched her happily humming and sit down on her chair, her ponytail swinging happily as she bobbed her head to the tune.
He hadn't seen her this happy since the day Trixie was born and that truly was the happiest day of Chloes life. Dan got to his feet heading over to her-eyebrows still furrowed.

"Whats up?" Chloe asked Dan before he could even open his mouth, she continued writing out her report on the things the girls mother had told her.

"Whats up? Nothing, except being curious as to why you're in such a...joyous mood." Dan replied, staring at the top of her head as she focused on what she was writing. She didn't even notice Dan sitting on her desk, to busy lost in her work and the tune she was now singing in her head. She gave Dan a smile and looked back to her work.

"Nothing you'd care to know about. Anything new on the missing girls?" Chloe asked, without looking up at him. Dan sighed and shook his head then realising she couldn't see him.

"No, nothing. It's like they just vanished." Dan muttered in thought. Chloe hated cases like this-ones when the victims seem to vanish with no trace. Chloe dropped her pen on her paper, trying to think of a solution, for any clues that she could think off but still, nothing came to mind. Dan looked down at her. "So where's your pet?"

"Pet?" Chloe frowned, wondering what he meant but once Dan raised his eyebrows, she knew he meant Lucifer. She rolled her eyes at him. "Lucifer isn't my pet, I sent him to go help out at Lux before it opens. I can't expect him to be here twenty-four seven."

"Why not? He seems to enjoy your company," Dan said with distaste, she knew he never really liked Lucifer. He'd made it clear plenty of times but each time she'd just sigh.

"Well if it's any consolation, I enjoy his company too." Chloe sighed, not caring what Dan thought, she was divorcing him and she couldn't feel more free. Just as Dan opened his mouth to speak, Lucifer's voice rang out across the precinct, making heads turn as it usually did. That was the thing with Lucifer, he never tended to be quiet.

"Oh, Detective." He said his voice in a sing song tone. Chloe snapped her head in the direction of his voice as she watched him come down the steps, a happy skip in his steps. He gave her the usual charming grin before blanking out Dan's presence and holding up a coat. He smirked at Chloe's confusion. "It belongs to the girl, which is it..." Lucifer fumbled for the tag and read out the name. "This coat belongs to Tanya Hudson."

Both Chloe and Dan looked between the coat and Lucifer stunned. Chloe nodded to Dan to take the coat to evidence. Dan took the coat, still looking dumbfounded, only making Lucifer grin even more, Chloe focused on Lucifer, lolling her head to a side. "How-"

"I didn't, Maze did. I asked her for a favour and she couldn't find the girls but she found that ugly, pink thing." Lucifer answered, stuffing his hands in his pockets, enjoying Chloes expression. She fought the urge to kiss Lucifer then and there but collected her papers and looked up at him.

"You did a good job." She smiled genuinely grateful.

"Well. It wasn't really me who found it, was it?" Lucifer shrugged, Chloe giggled lightly.

"Lucifer Morningstar being modest? Who knew? Thank Maze for me, would you?"

"Now Detective, I'm not being modest, I never have, never will." Lucifer denied, about to turn away from her.

"I bet you would of said that if someone told you you were going to work in the police force side by side with a little blonde." Chloe called after him, she smiled as he looked over his shoulder.

"Maybe. But either way, this is something I'd always leave hell for." Lucifer winked and like that he was gone. Chloe was guessing it was back to Lux where Maze was waiting for him to return and help her out with the club. Chloe smiled after him, looking down at her feet a slight blush dancing across her cheeks. Lucifer really had an effect on her, something she'd thought would happen. She'd sworn she wouldn't fall prey to his devilish charms and handsome looks, but she just couldn't ignore their connection, something Lucifer had said the day they met. She smiled at the memory, remembering her dislike of him, thinking he was just some rich jerk who couldn't give two dollars for someone else. And she was right of course, at first, then Lucifer changed. He opened up to her.
