Chapter twenty-three
I heard the door shut in the hall and a smirked rose on my face as Aston came strolling into the room. He didn't know I was here and I don't think he had noticed either as he let out a massive sigh. I looked up at him over the sofa, tearing my eyes away from his iPad that I was playing a game on. He was stood there in a patterned shirt with light jeans, the bottoms of them rolled up and a small necklace, he did look extremely handsome stood there. He must of felt my gaze and he slowly looked over at me before jumping back in surprise.
"Alright?" I grinned, locking his iPad and putting it on the coffee table.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, a smile coming on his face.
"Oh, you know..chilling." I giggled, sitting up so I could see him better. He slowly walked over to me and sat next to me on the sofa, picking up the glass I'd made myself a drink in and sipped it.
"So how did your date go?" I teased.
"Shut it you." He frowned.
"No seriously, I'm interested. What was she like?" I asked.
"It was horrible, she was so high maintenance and kept doing this annoying squeaky giggle every time I said something."
The boys had set Aston up on a date, obviously thinking he was still single and it was an attempt to get over me apparently. Aston refused at first and said he didn't want to do it but I made him go just to see what she was like and how it went, he reluctantly agreed. It was probably strange me wanting my boyfriend to go on a date with another girl but I only said it for the sheer amusement of it. I trusted Aston and knew he wasn't going to do anything with another girl so did all but forced him to go.
"Mm, you have that effect on girls." I told him, sitting back and bringing my legs up over his lap.
"You don't giggle annoyingly."
"No but I've known you for years, I'm pretty sure I did something like it when we first met."
"Well it wasn't enough to put me off."
"Obviously not."
"I can't believe you made me go." He groaned, resting his hands on my legs and drawing shapes on them with his finger.
"I didn't make you go." I giggled.
"You basically did, I knew it was going to a disaster!"
"She could've been a lovely girl."
"Would it of mattered? I have you, I don't need to meet any other girls."
"You don't know, you might've met her and fallen straight in love with her."
"That's not going to happen, no girl compares to you." He told me making me smile.
"Come lie with me." I told him, shuffling along a little so he could lie down next to me. He moved my feet off his lap and lied down next to me wrapping his arm around my waist and bringing my body into his. I turned to face him and rested my hands on his chest, my head against his.
"I'm sorry I made you go." I said, putting out my bottom lip.
"Its okay baby, I forgive you." He chuckled and kissed me quickly. I smiled and rested my head on his shoulder.
"Have you eaten?" Aston asked.
"Yeah, I knew you would be so I had something before I came."
"What time did you get here?"
"Only about half an hour ago."
He nodded and rested his head on top of mine. We sat there in silence, Aston's fingers running up and down my back slowly which made my eyes eventually close. I couldn't stop my eyes getting heavier and eventually I fell into a sleep without intending to.
