Sequel To She's Pretty For A Darkskin
Josiah's addiction has walked onto campus, rekindling the dim flame with in him. He sets a mental checklist, preparing himself for the fight to get his woman back in his arms. He'll keep her at arms reach for a...
"Trini dem girl dem a pat di pum pum!" Alina yelled as she hopped on top of my bed. I groaned in annoyance and slight pain. I moved the little fly aways out of my face and gave her a blank face.
"Get up, cause you have your first class in like two hours." she said, I sighed and looked at my phone, and she was right,
"Get, up and get ready before we miss the waffles at the mess hall, I might just kill ya cute ass if I do." Alina said as she pulled her hair back, into a ponytail and walked out. I nodded as I sat up, and stared around the room.
"Come on Trinity, pull on a bra and some sweats and let's go!" Alina yelled again.
"Okay, okay!" I yelled as I ripped the cactus decorated comforter off of my body. I swung my legs and walked over to the drawer. Picked up my grey senior sweatpants. I pulled them on along with my ugg boots pulled my hair into a kind of neater bun. Grabbed my phone and walked passed Alina to the bathroom we shared. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I grabbed my keys and walked past Alina once again.
"For someone who likes to rush people you're taking a mighty long time." I said when I realized that she wasn't even behind me. She quickly walked through the door, locking it. We started walking in silence. As we were walking I felt someone watching me, as soon as we walked into the main courtyard. I looked over and saw a group of boys just sitting at a table awkwardly. We walked into the mess hall and went straight to the waffle makers.
"There's no more batter." I told Alina, she rolled her eyes.
"Bitches knew I was coming." Alina said seriously as she pulled out a small mixing bowl with some pancake batter, from under her sweat shirt.
"Girl how ?" I asked laughing, as I unlocked my phone going on snapchat, recording her as she sneakily made her waffles. I felt something hit me. I spun around and saw that Kelvin boy pointing at Alina. I tapped her pointing to him and she looked over and rolled her eyes.
"He wants us to sit over there with them." Alina said, I looked around the table making sure he wasn't there.
"Yeah we can." I said.
"I mean if you don't want to go, you can just grab something and we'll head back to the dorm." Alina said fully ignoring me.
"Alina, I just said that we could sit with them."
Her eyes widened.
"You know he's gonna be there right?" She asked I assumed referencing to Josiah. I simply shrugged.
"I don't care." I said honestly. I grabbed a bowl and went over to the cereal bar. I reached for the captain crunch and felt as someone's hand touched mine. I looked over to this cute boy. Like he was literally adorable.
"My apologizes." He said removing his hand and placing it on his chest. I just stared at him his English accent trapped me.

"Are you okay?" He asked, I just nodded, unable to speak, stuck in LaLa land.
"Well then." He said looking at me like I was some weirdo. He poured his cereal and walked away. I poured some cereal and spun around to see, Alina sitting at the table with all the guys. And one specific guy watching me. I walked over to the table feeling the stare burn into me even more.
"Josiah can you stop please." I said quietly as I sat next to Alina who sat across from Kelvin, who was just staring at her. Making me sit next to Josiah.
"Stop, what?" He asked. I gave him the side eye. He knew what I was talking about.
"I'm just tryna look out for you." He said with a slight attitude. When he says look out I know he means 'act like he's my man' , I mean we were best friends.
"Look out doesn't mean stare me down like a hawk." I said. He rolled his eyes.
"I wasn't staring." He lied. I started eating my cereal. I could tell something was on his mind. He kept licking his lips. I was about to ask him what was wrong when he turned looking me dead in the eye.
"Why you don't got a bra on?" He asked.
My chest was sort of big but was perky enough for me to go braless without people realizing.
"I don't sleep in bras." I whispered.
"Since when?" He asked his voice sounding a bit shaky.
"I don't think that's any of your business." I said, looking him deep in the eye. Me not wearing a bra wasn't the only thing bothering him. Something else was bothering him. He must've realized my worry cause he stood up and walked right out.
"What you said to my dawg?" Kelvin jumped up.
"I didn't say nothing." I defended myself.
"Damn, he lightskin he get emotional real quick. Dare you to tell him there's no more ketchup when he has French fries, he's going to cry." Kelvin said, obviously trying to be funny. He really wasn't. I rolled my eyes.
"You gonna go talk to him or not?" I asked Kelvin shook his head.
"Nah, I just did that so Wonder would think the beef done." He said making Alina's head pop up.
"Beef ? Who's beefing now? And why?" She asked.
"So you mean to tell me that you heard me talking to you this whole time and you were ignoring me." Kelvin snapped. Alina bit her lip nervously. I guess turning Kelvin on cause he licked his.
"Who's Josiah beefing with and why ?" I asked. Kelvin looked down at me.
"He beefing with me over you." He said seriously. I made my face up looking over at Alina who looked like she wanted to laugh.
"Me?" I asked.
"Yeah, I called you out ya name and JD went wild. Bro got mad love for you." Kelvin explained. I looked over to the door where Josiah walked out and walked over to it. I pushed it and walked out to see Josiah speaking to some lil skank. I walked up behind him only for the girl to blow my cover by staring at me.
"Josiah can I speak to you?" I asked. He looked over at me and shook his head 'yes' the girl walked away.
"Why is it that I hear you're fighting over me? I'm not yours so-"
"I ain't fight over you. I fought for you. There's a difference baby." He said, he felt good hearing him call me baby. But I had to stop that.
"Not your baby. But okay. I'm a big girl I can fight my own battles." I said he laughed.
"Do you was gon fight Kelvin big ass?" He asked me.
"I mean if it gotta happen." I shrugged making Josiah smile. Which was sadly contagious.
"I missed you Trinn." He spoke snapping me back to reality,.
"And that's my cue to get my happy ass on." I got up and I looked back to see Josiah with that look on his face. The look he gave asking for help, affection, and support. As much as I wanted to ask him what was on his mind, I couldn't because I was still emotionally stuck.
"Excuse me mute girl, I didn't quite catch your name." The same English accent rang. I looked behind me to see him.
"I don't remember throwing, you know since I'm mute and all but it's Trinity." I said.
"My name is Zane, if you were wondering." He spoke. I felt eyes on me and I saw Josiah, leaning back watching me.
"That's nice." I said as I walked away. I vowed to myself to stay focused and that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
