"Where we sitting?" I heard Kelvin ask. I looked around for Alina. I pointed to her and he literally hopped and skipped over to her. We sat on the bleachers as we watched the guys warm up. Trinn was no where in sight. So I started to ponder why I was here. I yawned feeling myself getting bored. Only reason I liked track was because I got to see Trinn in short ass tights. I looked around before glimpsing Kim with Lindo in her arms.
"Aye, I'm going to go get my son. I'll be back." I said to Kelvin who was trying to get his piece of gum out of Alina's weave. It was so long she hadn't even notice he was in her hair. I got up and walked over to the gate to see Kim looking annoyed.
"Look, there go yo dumbass father." she said sounding relieved. I could tell that he's been crying. I walked up to the fence and he stretched his arms out to me.
"Da-Da." he whined. I took him from her and she rolled her eyes.
"Why he look like he's been crying?" I asked. She gave me the 'Duh' face.
"Clearly he been crying for you. You up and left with your little girlfriend. You could've took his bad ass with you." she said looking tired.
"For the last time she's not my girl anymore. I promise next time I go home I'll bring him."
"Mmhmm, okay."
"He had his medicine already?" I asked and she nodded.
"Lindo, only take the pump in the morning and at night. Make sure after he eat, he plays and does some running. If he starts breathing heavy let him try to breathe on his own. If he turn red give him the pump if he turn blue- You ain't that much of a dumbass." She said before handing me his baby bag.
"Linny, give mommy a kiss." She said all preppy. Lindo made his face up as if he was disgusted before snuggling into my neck. Making me hold my laugh, I tried to play it off by licking my lips. She rolled her eyes.
"Fuck ya'll." She said before walking away. I shook my head at her. I smiled at Lindo who pointed to the cheering people. I walked back over to the crew. Kelvin was getting chewed out by Alina.
"Are you fucking serious? Nigga you got gum in my fucking hair!" she snapped. She wasn't really loud but I heard her anger.
"Where the fuck is it?" she asked angrily. Kelvin was fumbling all around. You could tell she instilled fear in him.
"Stop acting dumb and find it." she said as she ran her finger through her hair, but came short of where it was. Kelvin picked up the portion of hair that tangled the hair together.
"Uh-Oh" Lindo said, making Alina look up and smile.
"Yup, CreShawn." Alina said calling Lindo by his middle name. Lindo blushed, warning me that I got to watch out cause he like them chocolate. Alina went in her athletic trainer kit, that the school gave her to practice with. She pulled out them weird looking athletic trainer scissors. And was about to hand it over to Kelvin when she looked over at me.
"Come, cut this gum out my hair please." I walked over and handed Lindo to Kelvin. She handed me some gauze so that I wouldn't have to touch Kelvin's saliva covered gum and snipped it out.
"Thanks." she said as she looked at the huge piece of gum and the hair wrapped in it. She shook her head. She looked like she was about to cry.
"It's okay, Alina you can always buy it back." I said genuinely trying to make her feel better.
"Shut up. Give me my best friend." She said after tossing the gummy hair in the trash. Lindo happily slipped off of Kelvin's lap and rushed to be in Alina's arms.
