Josiah Davis
"Last one." Coach yelled making everyone sigh. I was tired. I was about pass out. These weights were heavy as hell. We all stopped with weight lifting. I looked over and saw Kelvin walking in. I looked over at coach and he shook his head. We all were hurt this man was tryna just disappear. This team is supposed to be a family. A bond of brothers, and he was just tryna leave with no warning.
"What's up bro?" he walked up to me with his hand out ready for me to dap him up. I just looked at his hand.
"The roof." I said deciding to continue lifting my weights.
"You still mad?" he asked and I looked at him and shook my head.
"Nah, Kelvin I'm pissed. I'm supposed to be your little brother and Alina supposed to be your girl."
"Was? She's still my girl."
"Man, no she ain't. She don't deserve to be with a weak as bitch like you." I spat
"Who you calling a weak ass bitch?" he asked getting in my face.
"You nigga!" I said. I was angry. He was supposed to be someone I could come to. He was supposed to be my brother. And here he was. He knew me and I thought I knew him. And the worst part is he hurt Alina. You hurt Alina you hurt Trinn, and once you hurt Trinn I see black.
"I AIN'T WEAK !" he screamed in my face, like I was supposed to be afraid of his big ass. He was just causing a scene for no damn reason. Everyone in the weight room knew he was weak. Cause what kind of person walks away with no warning?
"You really believe that?" I asked him. He huffed and then swung on me. He punched my jaw. Now I got pissed and dropped my weights and tackled him to the ground. The team all ran over to break it up but every time someone pulled me away and found my way back over to through some punches.
"DAVIS!" coach yelled. I paused and I glared at Kelvin as he wiped the blood leaking from his lip down his jaw.
"He may be leaving, but he is still apart of this team! You know the consequences when our team fights each other." coach came out, when he looked at Kelvin's face he slightly smirked. I clenched my jaw, knowing that I would have to run two miles dragging his big ass with the resistance rope. Which made me want to beat his ass for real now.
"On the track. Both of you."
Kelvin opened his mouth to say something. But Coach beat his ass to it.
"Young man at this given moment I am still your coach. When I say on the track you better get your ass there, on two." He said as he blew his whistle.
Coach was pissed. He had his crew of star players slash favorites and everyone knew that. I'm in it and so was Kelvin. We were the captains, we knew his wife and kids he even gave us full rides to college. So everyone knew coach felt this blade cut deep.
The whole team walked onto the track. I walked ahead with coach.
"Davis." He called out. I looked over my shoulder.
"He's out of shape, give him hell. I'll be damned he goes over there making them think we're an easy target." he said. I laughed and nodded. I was barely at my dorm to know if Kelvin was in shape or not. I never worked out in the student gym or athlete weight room, I was always working out with Trinn now-a-days.
I walked out on the track and pulled off my basketball gym shorts. My football girdle was exposed. I took my shirt off and stretched a little. A benefit of having a track star girlfriend, is that you learn tips.
