Josiah Davis
"Set...GO!" coach yelled as all the boys dashed behind him. I just shook my head as I watched them all run around. This was walk-on day. With all the transfers and graduates we needed more players. The thing is these niggas was garage.
"Hey baby." I heard Trin say as she walked over to me in some adidas leggings with a see through shirt exposing her matching sports bra. I couldn't help but make my face up.
"Who told you that you could come out here wearing that ?" I questioned she rolled her eyes and pointed to the sky.
"The lord made it fit." she smiled. I pulled her closer to me and gave her a strong kiss. To let all the walk ons know that she was off limits and she is mine. Trinn pulled away looking confused.
"What was that for ?"
"I missed you." I shrugged.
"You slept at my dorm last night." she argued.
"Why can't you just accept that I missed you?" I asked with a slight attitude. She looked me up and down looking like she wanted to respond but instead she took a deep breath and rolled her eyes.
"I'm going out with Alina tonight, so you're just going to have to hang with Wonder at your dorm tonight." she said before grabbing her orange adidas duffel bag and walked away. I sighed and turned around to see a dude running straight for me. I backed up out his way. The sounds of his feet pounding the ground just let me know just how fast he was.
"GOT DAMN BROOKS!" coach yelled and I nodded agreeing. This dude was fast. You could tell.
"Thanks."
"What position you looking for sir?" Coach asked. This Brooks kid laughed and looked at me and pointed towards me.
"His." he said with a bold face. I laughed and looked at him funny.
"Look, I ain't speedy. That's all you bro." I said and he laughed.
"You scared, huh?" he asked with a smirk.
"Nah, I just know my strengths and weaknesses." I said making him laugh. This Brooks kid was cocky as hell.I shrugged. I was already on the team. My scholarships already paid. I'm safe where I'm at. He on the other hand had something to lose.
"Let's do this thing." I said and this Brooks kid started clapping. really hard, as if he was waiting for this moment forever.
"Coach you blow the whistle just like in practice." I took my slides off and slipped on my cleats I stopped the ground making sure it was good . Brooks looked at me and laughed. I simply stretched and got myself ready. I shook my head. Coach blew his whistle and I took off, Brooks was confused. Coach blew the whistle and I spun around and ran down backwards. Blew the whistle again and I spun back around. Coach blew it again and I looked at Brooks. He shook his head and Brooks started to beg. I got back over to them just in time to hear his plea.
"Let me try that again. I didn't know we were doing all that." he said Coach shrugged.
"Okay. Last run both end zones a good two laps." he said and I nodded. Coach blew the whistle and we both took off. I was full of energy and was when I got to the opposite end zone, I didn't turn around I started running backwards until I got to the 50 yard line. I spun around got to coach and dashed back and by the looks of it this Brooks kid was getting tired already. I ran as if I was about win a High School championship. I ran and passed him. As soon I was done I still felt haunting him. So I did a high knee. He jogged over to me and coach and coach laughed.
"Damn, you said you couldn't run." he said as he was panting like a dog.
"I never said that I couldn't run. I know my strengths and weaknesses. I'm either a QB or a receiver." I said and he just looked at me like he was amazed.
