Trinity Carter
"Damn it." Alina kissed her teeth. I looked over at her as she played madden with Kelvin. As much as she 'hated' him they've been starting to spend so much time with each other.
"See I told yo ass, I was gon' demolish you sweetheart." Kelvin smirked as he side hugged her. Alina rolled her eyes before pushing him off of her. I laughed.
"What?" Alina asked. I just shrugged, but really Kelvin and Alina would be a cute ass couple. Don't know why she keep rejecting him clearly all he want is her.
"Nothing. Just weird that you're supposed to be tutoring him yet you're playing a videogame with him." I said.
"He got an A minus on his exam so this is the reward." Alina defended. Kelvin nodded. I squinted my eyes, something told me from experience him going from a F to a A minus within a week. I had a strong feeling Kelvin didn't need a tutor. Almost instantly my mind traveled to Josiah and how his studying was going along especially since he had Lindo.
Me: Josiah you good?
Josiah💔🤕: yea..I'm straight why you good?
Me: Oh yeah. I was just studying then I remembered that you were studying and watching Lindo.
Josiah💔🤕: No, we good. I just put him down to sleep ..plus kim be here in a min to get him.
Me: Oh...Okay..
Josiah💔🤕: Yeah...
I just didn't reply. Clearly we were dry texting which was more than awkward when you used to be able to hold multiple conversations with him. I felt a type of way. I guarantee he was having those type of conversations with Mandi. And it kind of hurt.
"Aye, Trinity!" Alina yelled into my face, making me tune back into reality.
"Huh?" I asked. She laughed.
"You up for hanging out at the clubhouse tonight?" she asked. I nodded.
"Okay, pick out something to wear from now so when I get back from that high school after doing my hours and your practice we could just wash up and leave, and get there on time." she said. I nodded, moving my textbook and walking over to my closet pulling out an outfit to wear. I was satisfied with a black body suit and some black skinny jeans. I even pulled out a flannel just in case it got chilly tonight. I looked at my shoes and decided I'd pick what footwear I'd wear after practice cause I'd more than likely wear slides. But that'd have to wait until I get home. I pulled on some track shorts and a matching sports bra. I sprayed some cantu coconut milk shine and hold before pulling my hair up into a ponytail. I grabbed my backpack and pulled on my track suit pants. I walked out and made my way out to the track to see that I was the only one out there. I waited for about fifteen minutes before coming to the realization that no one was coming.
"Why you here?" I heard a deep voice ask. I looked over and saw Trace dresses in a white tee and some light sort of baggy skinny jeans with those beige nike air force ones.
"I'm trying to understand why, since nobody's here and you're fully clothed." I said rolling my eyes. He chuckled.
"Guess you not in the group chat." He said. I stale faced him.
"Clearly, I'm not, why is practice cancelled?" I asked. He walked a little closer.
"Coach Bluntham daughter giving birth to twins." He said. I hadn't even known he had a daughter.
"Oh." Was all that I could say. Trace laughed.
"You sound a little disappointed." He said. I looked at him and nodded.
