Trinity Carter
Here Alina was crying. I promise you I didn't even know she knew how to cry. She was really hurt. She never wanted to set herself up for this but as soon as she put her guard down and felt happy. Kelvin did this shit.
"Like I get that he wants to further his career in football but I mean damn." she cried. I just hugged her. She shook me off once again and stepped into the 'I don't need no man' mood.
"Like bitch I was living without you once. I'll do that shit again. You ain't nobody!" she screamed before flopping back in the sofa. I heard a knock at the door and went to open it. I was expecting a sulky Josiah not a pissed off Chastity.
"Ooo, cousin that fuck nigga gotta die."
"Okay, calm down grape jelly. No one is dying and what are you doing here ?"
"Whatever, Josiah called me sounding sad as hell. And told me the run down. So I drove all the way here."
"You couldn't have."
"Ahhh, you caught me. Mommy's opening a salon out here." She shrugged. I was caught off guard. I knew nothing about this.
"What?" I asked before closing the door.
"Surprise!" She turned to me before comforting Alina. Alina just put her head on Chastity's shoulder.
"So, how'd he tell you?" Chastity said, I stood by and listen.
"He didn't. Girl he told me to look at something on his phone, so I pick it up and put in his password and it wouldn't unlock. He changed it on me. Then I told him to unlock and he was like no. So I waited for his dumb ass to fall asleep as soon as he did I took his finger and unlocked it. I ain't see shit until I got to the messages. He literally was just planning to up and leave for the summer. Like just up and leave, we would've came here and he would've went there with no warning."
"Are you serious?" I asked and she shook her head. He was literally just gonna leave and not tell anyone, not even his girl. That's fucked up.
"That's fucked up. He should've at least hinted to you what he was planning." Chastity said as she sat there and rubbed Alina's back.
"Yeah, like tell me. I wasn't going to agree with it but I would support you. Up and leaving don't work unless you talk about it." Alina sighed.
"So why did y'all break up?" I asked.
"Why you and Josiah always breaking up?" They both just turned on me. That was my cue to leave.
"Alright, speaking of Josiah let me go find him." I said grabbing my wallet and keys. I had a feeling he would be on the basketball court so I went there first. I walked all the way there. I saw someone at the outside court. So I walked over and there he was. Bouncing the ball and shooting. I walked over to the gate and looked him over. He was just so fine, it don't make no sense. I sat on the little metal bleachers. He heard me and looked over. He didn't even smile or nothing he was just sad.
"Trinity why you out here it's cold?" He asked before he started taking his sweatshirt off, exposing his Margate Senior shirt.
"I'm here for you." I said he walked over and handed me the jacket. I put it on and pulled him to sit down with me. He sat and just looked at the ball in his hands.
"Josiah, I know what you're going through. You're hurt cause your best friend is leaving."
"It's not even that, Kelvin was like a big brother. How he just gonna up and go?"
"The same way you did." I said, making him look up at me.
"Trinn, seriously ?" he asked and he leaned away from me and I nodded.
