Chapter 9
I woke up and sat upright. I attempted to rub the sleep from my eyes and stretched out like a cat. That was when I re-realized where I was and the memories flooded back in. I had to close my eyes tightly for a moment and hug my legs in a fetal position until my shaking ceased. I didnt cry. I figured it was because I was either still in shock or all cried out.
I crawled out of bed and finally took a good look around the room. My room. My bed was pretty large. I didnt exactly have the mattress size memorized like most people do. Queen, King, Twin... It all just sounded like a royal family. Not bed sizes. I smirked slightly at my internal joke then continued looking around. On the wall just to the left of my bed was a large window which with a brief glance, I recognized the garden from the other night. Across from the wall my bed was against, was a door. When I opened it I found a large walk in closet.
Large in this circumstance was an incredible understatement. It was so huge that I could do cartwheels inside if I so desired. I walked in and closed the door behind me. Fumbling along the wall on the right side of the door I found a switch, which I flipped. I turned my attention to the task ahead of me. Finding an outfit to wear.
Better not be too picky or ill be in here all day, I spoke this to myself. Like the crazy person I am. I trailed my hand along the long line of clothes until my palm came in contact with something I recognized as the feeling of fresh new denim. I took the jeans off the hanger to inspect them. They were light blue denim with rhinestones on the back pockets. I threw those on and grabbed a random tee shirt from another rack.
The shirt I grabbed was a light blue floral blouse that was sort of flowy in the sleeves and hugged my waist. I shrugged, unable to muster up any emotion towards the outfit. I felt impartial to it all. After I threw on a pair of converse, overlooking all the fancy and obviously expensive shoes, I sighed content and walked back into my room.
I noticed on the last wall that there were two doors. I opened the one closest to the closet and gasped at the sight that lay before me. There was a huge shower with crystal clear glass around it and two porcaline looking sinks along one wall. There was a seperate door that when I opened it, sat the toilet inside its own small room with a magazine rack. Near the shower was a medium sized bathtub that could fit about three people inside it easily. It had a jet system as well for a jacuzzi like feel.
"I could get used to this," I spoke mimicking the words Shay had said at the party, causing a feeling of longing. I wish I could go back to that moment and redo everything before all this craziness began.
"You have a bad habit of talking to yourself." I only slightly jumped at the voice and rolled my eyes. I then exited the bathroom determined to ignore this problem in my head as long as I could.
I stared at the last door which I assumed must be the door to the rest of the mansion. I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe. I then reached my hand out to the doorkob and twisted.
