Still very confused about he day before, when I woke up the next day, I decided to ask Vernon about it. As soon as I heard the knock on my door and the loud 'Fuck off' from Emma(followed by Vernon's cackles,) I ran and swung my door open. Vernon gave a wide(what I thought was fake) smile. I looked to see Emma, hair in a high bun, walking off next to some taller guy with orangey hair that was styled up. How? I don't know. Looking back at Vernon, I quickly wrote down, 'What's Emma's deal with the girls at Paris? She came back yesterday to ask and left completely rattled.'

Vernon's eyes narrow at the board before quickly returning to normal. He shrugs. "Our group found her a little into the woods near Paris, we have no clue what happened to her before that." I nod and erase, just to write back down on the board, 'Can you start introducing me to everyone today? Starting with that orange haired guy.' Vernon shakes his head slightly. "He's Joshua. Thinks he's above everyone or something because he was a good Christian boy. Now he thinks he can have whatever girl he wants? Well guess what, he can't. Because I'm the group's leader, not him." Vernon grumbles then realizes who he's talking to. "But no, I'm gonna introduce you to a few of the main workers here and we're gonna re-wrap your arm and figure out what you're good at so we can get you working." He smiles, almost creepily.

I nod slowly. Vernon waves his hand as a signal to follow him and walks off, leaving me at my door, even more confused. Shrugging, I follow. After a short walk and weaving through the streets inside the walls, we arrive at a small building that was once called JB Resale and walk in. What was once a(probably) nice place, is now littered with weapons and lots of guns along walls and shelves. When we started walking to a, maybe 15 year old girl, everyone glanced over at us.

By the time we got to her, everyone went back to either cleaning the weapons, taking an ammo count, or talking to what I assumed to be a worker. The girl turned around and grinned at us. "This is Sofia. She's my sister and she basically runs the armory." Sofia smiles again as she brushes brown bangs out of her face and tucks some short hair behind her ear. She looks up at me and waves.

"Hello! You must be Kian. I heard you're mute though, so you don't have to 'talk' to me right now." She grins again and I nod. Internally, I scoff. Why's she so happy? Before she can say anything more, Vernon grabs my arm and drags me away to keep moving.
