Chapter Twenty Three - How could I ever forget you?

~Tyler's POV~

I watched as Melody's stomach went up and down as she heavily breathed cuddled into a sleeping Damon. I walked outside into the cold and sat on the front steps of the Gilbert house "You said we needed to talk?" I heard Melody's sleepy voice say behind me "Yeah" I sighed as she took a seat next to me "well" she trailed "I miss you" I said simply tangling my fingers in each other "I've not been anywhere" she said with clear confusion in her voice "remember how close we was" I smiled. "The first day we met was when I knew we'd be friends forever" she returned the smile.

~Flashback~

"How was school Lena?" a mystery voice said from inside Elena's house as me, Matt and Elena walked through the door "Melody" Elena screeched "Mels hey" Matt said hugging the beautiful mystery girl after Elena finished "Matty I missed you" She said sweetly kissing him on the cheek "Not as much as I missed you Mel" He said spinning her round causing her to let out a adorable giggle "Elena who is that?" she said sweetly pointing her finger at me "Tyler Lockwood" I said kissing her hand causing her to blush "Melody Thorne Elena's cousin" She said kindly "What brings you here?" Matt asked putting his hand on the small of her back guiding her to the couch "Got a month off and thought I'd come see my favorites?" she said leaning her hand on Matt's knee, they seem really touchy I said to myself "No Ty. It's not what you're thinking we're just really close plus I'm dating Elena" Matt sighed "Gross" Melody laughed "OMG." Melody said jumping up "What?" I asked raising a eyebrow "Care will kill me if I don't go see her" she said pulling out her phone "Crap" She cursed "It's dead" she said looking up "She's on her way" Elena said entering the room "What?" Melody asked curiously "I knew as soon as I saw you that she would kill us all if she didn't know you was here" Elena laughed taking Melody's seat next to Matt. "Elena" Melody growled "Right I get it" She replied in surrender "Whats going on?" I asked taking a seat next to Melody once she took her seat next to Matt "We have this rule that since Melody comes twice a year for a month or so every time she does she gets to sit by Matt or Caroline all the time" Elena laughed taking the single chair "Yup" Matt said smiling and putting his arm around Melody as she snuggled into his arm "Oh" I sighed "And now you" she said pecking me on the cheek which caused me to look at her in confusion "I need as many friend as I can get" she shrugged causing me to smile lightly as she inter-winded our hands.

"You've been here for like a month or so and I haven't spent any time with you" I sighed "You're Tyler Lockwood how could I ever forget you?" she smiled leaning her head on my shoulder as she put her hand in mine and we watched the sun rise.
