Better Than Expected.

~Melody's POV~

So we're sat in Damon's car and the smart boy got tips of Elena because he's played Glee for the past 15 Minuets. Started with 'Don't Stop Believing' then 'Lucky' then 'Sing' now we're half way through 'Born to hand jive' and I just can't control myself so I start to dance around as much as I can in my seat and belting out the song.

"I was born to hand jive baby" I sing as loud as possible, "You're not half bad" compliments Damon... "Woah, Stop right there! A compliment for the Damon Salvatore? Miracle day has arrived" I say in a shocked tone. "Funny..."

"Everybody's got a dark side, do you love me, can you love mine?" I sing while listening to Dark Side. Honestly Darren Criss' Voice is perfection. "Elena was right about this playlist" Says Damon hoping I wouldn't hear him "I KNEW IT" I scream. "What?" Damon said baffled. "Elena Picked the Playlist, I knew you couldn't guess all my favorite Glee songs" 'Cold hearted'  Stared playing when Damon Pulled over and the music stopped. "Damn, I love Naya Rivera's voice in that song" I complain. "Well we're here so you can listen to it on the way back" Damon says while holding the car door open for me. "Lets just get this over with" I say under my breath "I heard that Mels" Damon says while linking my arm through his and tapping his ear with the other hand.

So we're in a really fancy restaurant. "What will it be?" says the waitress cooing over Damon while he asks for a table for two, she notices my arm through Damon's and he smile fades into a fake one as disappointment fills her eyes. "One bourbon and one coke please" Says Damon before the waitress has a chance to walk off. "How'd you know my order?" I ask curiously. "I went to full lengths to make this date perfect." Said Damon while glancing up from the large menu in his hands. "Humm... " I hum to myself while looking on what to order and much to my surprise I have just realized this restaurant is full of chicken meals, yes my favorite god am I ready to order.  "Welcome to Chicken Land, What will your orders be tonight" said the waitress. "Damie, you're paying right?" I said asking Damon to make sure everything I ordered was on him using my nickname I used for him when I really wanted my way and it always worked. "Yes Melie go on" Said Damon saying his nickname for me which only he used on occasion and for some reason it always made me smile, Weird. "So I'll have Popcorn chicken, Curly fries, Triple Chicken Burger and 6 Pieces of chicken all boneless oh and another coke" I say in one breath while closing my menu and waiting for Damon to order and when I look at him he has a stunned look on his face. "Well Erm, Just a chicken burger please with another scotch" he said still stunned.

We're on our way home so debriefing the date, Damon commented on how much I ate and how it's a surprise i'm still thin, Thanks. I insulted on how typical our date was and how I kept telling him that Elena was just setting us up and he let slip he was kind glad for it but over all It went better than expected.

We finally reached home I made Damon go round the block so I could listen to Dark Side and Cold Hearted a few more times, being the best date ever that I obviously am. Anyway he opened the door for me again and walked me to the door and we sat on the porch swing.
"Thank-you Damon" I started
"Welcome Melody, A side all the insults and repeat of them two songs I'm going to have stuck in my head for the rest of the night this has been fun"
"Naya Rivera and Darren Criss are so talented don't pretend you didn't love it" I say while punching his shoulder lightly when I get a text from Elena 'Hey Mels, I heard Damon's car pull up but the frnt dor hasn't opened yet, dnt take 4eva we ned 2 debrief. Dnt do anythin stupid. Hurry Lena xo'
"Good night Beautiful" Damon says while kissing my cheek practically reading my mind
"Good night Damon, It was fun tonight"
"Just wait till the next one"
"Wait what"
Before he could respond I was pulled inside by Jeremy. Great.
