~Melody's POV~

"Morning Sleepy head" I heard the sweet whisper in my ear say. "Morning, Wait how did I get into my bed?" I asked remembering that I fell asleep on the couch after watching Hunger Games last night, "I didn't want to wake you, You looked so beautiful sleeping so I carried you and put you into bed" Damon replied kissing my temple "You missed" I teased pouting my lips waiting for the familiar lips to connect with mine "You have morning breathe" Damon replied pulling a disgusted face, "Deal with it" I replied before slamming my lips into his harshly, after pulling away i got hit with a sudden confusion "Jenna would never let you spend the night, so how did you get to stay?" I asked while perking myself up into a sitting position "Jenna texted saying she wasn't coming home so Elena said I could stay" Nodding in reply I gathered some clothes and headed to the bathroom. "Babe?" I asked sweetly "Yes Mels?" He replied in the same tone "Make me a coffee, I'll be down in a minuet" I asked while pulling on my skinny jeans. Hearing my bedroom door close was a clear enough signal that he did as I asked smiling to myself I finished getting dressed.

"Here you go beautiful" Damon said while planting a soft kiss on my lips. "Thank-you" I replied while propping myself up onto the counter and watching as the bacon sizzled in the pan "You're making breakfast" I pointed out smiling and admiring his shirtless body "Like what you see?" He asked noticing me staring, blushing I looked up but before I could reply his lips where crashing into my neck leading up to my jaw line into a passionate kiss on the lips. Our passionate moment was interrupted with a cough coming from the door way, Turning round I noticed Stefan and Elena standing at the door way with disapproving looks on their faces, Blushing Damon turned around tending to the bacon. Easing the tension I asked "Bacon butty anyone?" with a sigh from the couple they nodded and walked to the table, "This bacon is all for me, make your own" Damon says playfully not taking his eyes off the bread he's buttering, after helping Damon make the butty's we're now all sat at the table discussing what the plans are for today. "Stefan and Elena you to love birds do as you please, I'm taking Melody somewhere" Damon said while clearing the table, Looking up in confusion meeting Damon's loving blue pair Stefan said "Damon, A word?" Very sternly while walking into the hall. Not being able to hear them me and Elena just look at each other and say "Vampires" with a sigh finishing Damon's job of clearing the table

It turns out that Damon wanted to take me to the water fall for a picnic he had got Jeremy to bring in advance, I know this because Jeremy makes Ham and Mayo sandwich with a smiley face with the Mayo, He could have at least tried to cover it up, how well it's the thought that counts. "Damon?" I asked while I place down my sandwich curiosity filling me up, "Yes beautiful?" He responded with a playful smirk, "What did Stefan talk to you about?" I asked looking into his eyes, with a sigh he took my hands and said "He wanted me to talk to you about the supernatural world you're stepping into" pausing looking at our inter-winded hands and continued "Elena, She's the doppelganger and there are a lot of people coming after her and we need to protect her, Stefan wanted me to talk to you about if you want to help or not. We gave Matt the same option because you're human, you're more venerable to the other supernatural species, I-I erm," he tripped on his own words running a nervous hand through his hair and saying "I told Stefan I was going to keep you out of it, I don't want you to get hurt Melody, I'm going to protect you with everything I have no matter what you're choice is." He said looking into my eyes meaning every word. Cupping his face into my hand I replied with "Thank-you for trying to protect me, I understand where you're coming from and I want you to keep me out of it but promise me something?" I said looking into his crystal blue eyes and playing with his daylight ring on his finger "Anything" he replied, "Keep Elena safe, she, Jeremy and Jenna are the only family I have left" I said looking down trying to stop the tears. "If that's what you want" He replied simply, "It is but I also want to be kept in the loop" I said looking into his eyes with determination before placing a quick but soft kiss on his lips.
