As the door slowly opened anticipation was eating me alive. Would they still remember me? Would they accept me?

After what seemed like forever the door opened revealing my eldest Cousin. She had beautiful long Brown hair and Hazel eyes matching mine, she also had very fine pale skin. I had always envied her, she was so beautiful.
"Elena. Who is it?" Said the familiar voice of my youngest cousin that always made me smile. "Jer, She's here It's Mels" answered Elena. Just then Jeremy rushed to the door. At first it took him a while to take my presence in, After the shock sunk before I could react he cut off all my air waves embracing me in a hug.
"Hey, Jer, I can't breathe" I said in-between breaths, "Sorry" Jeremy said simply "I missed you." I always loved Jeremy, Even though he was younger than me he was my best friend, My mum use to say we we're inseparable. My smile quickly faded with the memory of my mother. Elena was the first to notice "Mels, are you OK?" she said reassuringly while placing he hand onto my shoulder. When I didn't answer her she Sighed and ordered Jeremy to bring my bags up to the Spear room I used when I visited. Elena Escorted me inside into the kitchen where I could smell the coffee being made, "Coffee" I basically screamed. What? It was a long journey and I loved coffee, Don't Judge. "Some things never change" said Elena handing me a mug. "All your bags are in your room Mels" said Jeremy as he made his way into the living room where me and Elena was currently sat. "Thank-you... Wait my room?" I said in disbelief, Jeremy let out a little chuckle "Yea, Your room. It was always your room while you stayed here and now you're permanently staying it's officially your room" said Elena letting out a little giggle at the end of her sentence.

Me, Elena and Jeremy talked for what seemed like forever but it was only an hour but within that hour I laughed more that I have in the past three days and they never brought up my mum which I was grateful for. Elena and Jeremy always made everything better, I always forgot everything wrong with life when I was with them. Our catch up was interrupted by the front door opening "Jenna's home" said Elena. "Wait... Who's Jenna?" I said inquisitively. "You've met her once when you was little when you visited, Aunt Jenna? She looks after us now." Said Jeremy while walking to great Jenna and help her with the shopping. "Hey, Melody Right? I'm your aunt Jenna, we've not spoke in a while so I'm not sure if you remember me?" said Jenna while placing various shopping bags on the island. "Erm, Not really" I said embarrassed. "Oh, Well that's fine whats wrong  with stating again" Said Jenna. "New life, New people right?" I said a little harshly than I meant it and went straight to my room suddenly being overwhelmed by tiredness and emotion. Jenna looked so much like my mother, long hair, beautiful smile and dazzling eyes.

When I go up to my room I looked around with all the pictures of me, Elena and Jeremy as kids, A family photo with my mum and dad. Also a picture of me, Caroline Forbes and Matt Donovan, They're two of Elena's friends, I've known them all my life and they're my best friends I have to go straight to see them tomorrow. I'm currently sat on my bed when a piece of paper made its way under my door I knew instantly that it was  Jeremy when we was kids and I was in a mood Jeremy would write notes and post them under the door to make sure I was OK, I got off my bed with a small smile remembering all the notes he gave me It read 'I know it's hard, Elena hardly looks at Jenna since we got the news I'll get better but for now get some sleep you've got school tomorrow. J xo' I sighed a little louder than I wanted to and Jeremy obviously heard me because he said "I know, I don't want to go either" that caused me to giggle genuinely. I reached into my suitcase lazily and pulled out a purple tank top and some short shorts and climbed under the covers to lazy to unpack I made a mental note to unpack tomorrow after school. Sleep came over me very quickly I was more tired that I realized with that came peaceful darkness.
