The Rose

~Damon's POV~

"Just wait till the next one" I said with a smirk while walking to my car.
"Wait what" I heard Melody's voice shout confusingly but then she was dragged inside by little Gilbert. Thanks Gilbert. So I just drive of unable to get Melody's perfect face out of my head, I cannot stop smiling. "Finally" I hear my annoying little brothers annoying voice come from the everything room, "Why hello Brother. You didn't have to wait up for me" I reply while staring at an impatient Stefan, "Did you hurt her?" Trust him to get straight to the point as usual. "No Brother. I actually like this girl" I said without thinking. Wait, did I Just say I liked Melody, What is wrong with me? I don't like girls I use them. How is she doing this to me?

~Melody's POV~

"Lack of blood flow to my hand Jer." I said indicating how hard he's gripping my arm. Wow he's strong. "Tell me everything! Did he hurt you? Did you have fun? Are you seeing him again?" Jeremy said all to quickly "Girl talk Jer, Leave her alone, Mels come on up to my room." Elena said saving the day. I ran quickly up to the stairs thinking I had gotten out of talking to Jeremy about Damon, Boy was I wrong. "Tell me everything" Elena states as soon as we get into her room so with a sigh I start the debriefing. "It was fun and thanks for giving him pointers By the way. We listened to Glee on the way which was awesome and he listened to me sing, and liked it then we went to a restaurant with loads of chicken, thanks for that too. and then we talked and I insulted him a lot and then I made him drive me round the block a while so I could but some songs on repeat to see if he could deal with it and he did then before we got rudely interrupted by Jeremy grabbing me inside he said they'll be another one" I said quickly while Elena Nodded every-time I said thank-you. "Mels?" Asked Elena, "Yes?" I responded "Do you like him?" She said once again with no hesitation, "Erm, Not sure he's so full of himself but when he's with me he seems to be a new person and I like that version of him, Why'd you ask?" I said bluntly "Because you was bluffing while debriefing and you just said you liked this new version of him" Elena pointed out, while I thought about what she just said justifying my actions noticing my quietness Elena continued "Just don't get hurt Mels, You've been through a lot" without saying anything I reply with a nod and walk to my room.

~The next day~
~Melody's POV~

So I've debriefed my date about 100 times now, Okay so maybe I was exaggerating but still I've had to talk to Bonnie, Matt, Caroline, Stefan who just kept asking if he hurt me, Tyler who seemed kind of Jealous when I told him what I told Elena,  and eventually I had to tell Jeremy, I never realized he was so protective over me.

"Morning Sunshine" I hear that oh too familiar cocky voice say into my ears, "Morning Damon" I said bluntly pretending I'm not interested in his presence, I hear an annoyed sigh and before I knew it Damon was stood in front of me with a rose I smile at the gesture. "Whats this for?" I said smiling up at him and taking the rose, "saying thank-you for the date" He relied "You payed I just attended but Thank-you" I said still smiling "I know but It wouldn't have been a date if you didn't." He said while smiling down at me then the bell rang interrupting the moment of pure happiness "What do you have?" he asked as I stood up and putting my bag on my shoulder without bending the rose. "History, Walk me?" I asked "It'd be my pleasure" Damon returned taking my bag and walking me to my class. When we got there I took my bag of Damon and thanked him once more. "You're welcome Sunshine" He said while kissing my cheek and walking off. I smiled and walked to my seat.

"Are you and Damon a thing?" I heard Caroline's overprotective voice say from the seat next to me "No." I replied Bluntly, "Then why'd he give you a rose?" I heard Matt's voice join in. "He's being kid..." I started before I was interrupted by Caroline saying " Damon Salvatore is far from kind" "Agreed" Matt chirped up. Without replying I put my rose on the end of my desk and pulled out and book and pen waiting for the class to start.

The gang as I call us kept asking over and over again about the rose and I replied with the same answer I gave Caroline and Matt. Everyone gave similar answers to Caroline apart from Stefan he just said "Be careful and I think you're actually good for him." Which I was glad at. Today has been full of questions and answers but the only part I cared about was the Rose.
