Chapter Twenty Two - True Friends

~Melody's POV~

I ran as far as my legs would take me before I got tired and sat against a tree trunk, I felt a tear run down my face. My phone began ringing in my pocket "Will you not shut up" I snapped as I pulled it out of my pocket and pressed reject, 10 texts 22 miss calls Great.
Damon - 'Where are you I'm worried?' 'Mels please'  'If you get hurt I will never forgive myself' 
Elena - 'I'm at home if you need me I love you -E xxx' 
Jeremy - 'Didn't plan on you running off, Me, Stefan, Tyler, Matt and Damon are looking for you. Come home. Please x'
Stefan - 'I'll let you insult me non stop for a week if you come home x'
Tyler - 'We need to talk. x' 
Caroline - 'I'll buy you a new dress if you come home x'
Bonnie - 'I'm with Care and Elena at home, please come back? I have ice-cream? x'
Matt - 'Mels I know you're not ready yet but when you are we're here, I'm helping the boys look for you. Don't do anything stupid xxx'
I sighed and though I better reply and let them know I'm not dead.
My reply to Damon 'I'm in the woods lost. but I'm fine'
My reply to Elena 'Coming home soon I promise I love you so much more xxx'
My reply to Jeremy 'I'm by a tree lost. Help? x'
My reply to Stefan 'Come get me  can't pass this up x'
My reply to Tyler 'Come and get me Wolf. x'
My reply to Caroline 'Just waiting for the boys;) x'
My reply to Bonnie 'Waiting for the boys keep it cold. I need buckets full:( x'
My reply to Matt 'I'm not ready but I need you, I need all of you, Come get me I'm by a tree xxx'

Just as I pressed send Damon's name flashed across the screen I answered without hesitation "Babe?" Damon's voice panicked "Hey" I breathed
"Is that her?" I heard Tyler's voice say "she just text me" I heard Stefan, Jeremy, Tyler and Matt say
"Listen to my heart beat babe, you can do it. Come and get me" I said with a smile "Shut up" I heard him snap, The line was quiet before he hung up, "Hello beautiful" I heard his voice say behind me "Oh my god" I breathed leaping into his arms as he picked me up and span me around "Mels Oh my god" I heard Tyler and Matt say simultaneously "Hey" I replied rushing up to them and giving them both a hug, I turned around and saw Stefan standing there with a pained look on his face, I stepped closer to him "Hey" I said with a sad smile "Never do that again" He said before cutting of my airwaves "I'm sorry" I said leaning my head in the crook of his neck "Lets get you home" Jeremy said, I smiled at him giving him a hug. All boys began walking in front of  me I coughed causing them all to look back "I ran from the cemetery loosing both shoes and I think I have a shard of glass in my foot. I am not walking" I said crossing my arms over my chest "Fine" Damon sighed picking me up bridal style following the rest of the boys.

"Thank god" was the first thing said when Damon placed me on the floor "Who's bleeding" Caroline said in a panic, I raised my hand and walked to the kitchen and sat on the counter next to the sink "Stefan, Caroline and Damon go" I said pointing to the door  sighing "I'm not going"  Damon said "Yes you are because you're not going all vamp on me when I pull this out"  I said gesturing to the glass in my foot. All three nodded and walked outside "Does it hurt?" Tyler said rushing to my side "Nope I'm kind of numb" I sighed pulling it out, he sent me a small smile as he handed me a anaesthetic wipe and a plaster. I smiled and hoped down limping to the coach followed by Tyler sitting on the left Damon on the right when he entered Elena and Stefan on the chair and the rest on the floor "Guys?" I spoke up, they all turned and gave me their full attention "Thank-you for being there today and everyday when I acted like a Bitch, you guys really are True friends" I smiled.
