~Damon's POV~

As I carried a crying Melody up the stairs and to my room my mind kept drifting to images of her and Tyler causing my anger to boil but as soon as I looked at Melody's tear streaked face all anger washed away and was replaced with guilt and passion. "Damon?" she asked weakly "I'm here" I confirmed while brushing away some hair that has fallen in front of her face "why did you do it?" she asked while playing with ends of her long sleeved top, "do what?" I asked stupidly "you know what" she frowned "Katherine?" I asked causing her to nod "when you fainted, I was worried. Heartbroken, Katherine was there to comfort me much like Tyler was for you but when she started playing her tricks it was too late for me to realise she was playing with me to break your heart , I still have to figure out why but that's why she made Connor kill your mother, to hurt you. She compelled him, that's why he did it. She knew you was related to Elena and she figured you'd get sent here, That's also why Connor did them horrible things to you, That's why he was in your life in the first place, to eventually send you here." I noticed the anger bubbling inside of me at the thought of Melody's life being horrible and bad just so she would end up here, I looked at her confused face, the tears no longer leaving her eyes and her eyes showing confusion but behind the confusion was the happiness that always lied in Melody's eyes "she made him do them things?" she asked almost to herself "that's why he wanted me to forgive him" she said putting the pieces together "now he's dead" she frowned "Damon?" she asked looking into my eyes "yes?" I asked cupping her cheek "why did she want to make my life hell?" she asked "I don't know baby, I don't know" I frowned looking into her eyes with pure sadness and sympathy. I hate that she makes me feel like this, weak, vulnerable but I can't help it. She see's the good in me, she doesn't want me to change, she doesn't play with me like a toy, she's everything my immortal life was destine for. Who knew one human could make a vampire feel human? "Damon?" she asked "yes?" I smiled slightly at her "I forgive you" she smiled "you what?" I asked thinking this would be the last things coming from her mouth "I forgive you" she smiled again "but why?" I asked astonished "you was there to make me forget what I needed to forget, you reminded me what love is, when I broke down you fixed me, even when I told you I kissed someone else you couldn't be mad at me, you are what I need Damon. I need you, I need you more than I need oxygen. You are mine, I am yours and our love is Eternal." she smiled at me "Eternal love, I like the sound of that" I smiled "you know what sounds better?" she asked "Tell me" I whispered "maybe another time" she laughed before running down the stairs and into the everything room, I followed her quickly only to bump into her lightly when she made a sudden stop in the door way of the everything room, I looked over her shoulder at a heart broken Tyler. I may hate him but I know what it feels like to have your heart shatter into a thousand pieces and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone. "Ty" Melody whispered taking a step closer to Tyler "I'm happy for you truly" he smiled at her while standing, a small tear fell down his check "I will always love you" she smiled at him "but never as much as you love him" he finished "I'm sorry" she smiled at him "well we can still be best-friends without our expanding emotions getting in the way" he smiled with all signs of sadness disappearing "always" she smiled "take care of her" he smiled at me, "I will" I said taking a step forward and holding out my hand for him to shake, after a few seconds he took my hand and shook it "who votes for inviting the others round and having a movie day?" Stefan asked making his presence known "just no Katherine" Melody laughed causing us all to chuckle lightly.
