March 10 1956

Gale and I got close in its a few days. We hang out a lot with Bianca; we always go to the nearest ice cream parlor, bike around the neighborhood or just simply chatting together under a shaded tree. Every time I look into Gale’s eyes my heart just melt. I can’t help to notice every time our skin touches one another or every time his hands bump into mine.

I don’t know what I’m feeling right now, but I guess this is just normal for a teenage girl. I guess?

“Sam! It’s time to go!” my dad said as he peeked into my room.

“Be right there dad.” I said as I shoot the journal into my bag.

Dad will give me a ride for today; he said he’ll be getting something very important. We waited for Abby to arrive so we can give her a ride too; as Abby arrived we immediately hit the road and arrive at school in no time.

“Bye Dad.” I said as I kiss him on the cheek and went to our classroom.

“What’s your plan today after school?” Abby asked.

“Let me see.” I said as I took out my planner. “Hmm, You’re lucky! I have no plans for today.” I said and smile at her.

“That’s great! I asked Nathan yesterday if we could go to his place later.”

“What?!” I shouted.

“Why? Is there something?” Abby asked as she put her bag down on my table.

“No, it’s just…” I said as I saw Nathan enter the room and Abby greeted her.

“Good Morning Nathan.” Abby said as he waved at him.

“Good morning Abby.” He said, “and Sam.” as he looks at me in the eyes.

“So Sam just said that she’d free later, should we go to your place?” Abby said as he turns around to Nathan.

“That’s great!” He said,

“Oh! I forgot! Mom and I will go shopping later.” I said.

“What? I thought you have no plans later.” Abby said with a surprised face.

“I forgot to write it in my planner, mom just told me about it a while ago before leaving the house.”

“Oh! Dang! I bet we should go into your place next time.” She said to Nathan.

“That’s Ok.” Nathan said as he sat down.

“Come on, our class will start soon.” I said as I sat down.

“Ok! I’ll talk to you later, ok?” Abby said as she grabs her bag and went to her seat.

“It’s ok, if you don’t want to come in our place.” Nathan said,

“Did I just said that mom and I would go shopping?” I said as I open my bag and get my things.

“You can tell me that, but I won’t be fooled.” He said and turns his head, I looked at him for a moment and look down on my desk. I placed my hand above my notebook and stared out of nowhere.

As the classes ended, Abby went up to me and asked. “Are you ok?” as she grab my hand. I barely notice it until she pulls me.

“Oh! Yeah, I’m Ok.” I said as I stood up and get my bag. “Come on, let’s go.”

“Ok!’ she said “Bye Nathan.”. I didn’t turn around to look at him, I just walk down the corridors and went straight home with Abby.

“Bye!” I said as I waved at her and enter my house.

“Bye! Sam, see you tomorrow.” She said as she waves at me and went away.

I went inside my room and lie on the bed. I look into my bag and I started to read the journal right at the top of my eyes.

March 15 1956

Bianca was sick during the weekend. So Gale and I decided to pay her a visit, we went there with fruits and flowers. Bianca was so happy when she saw us, I put the flowers against her bad and greeted her, she’s still in her old jolly self like nothing happened, perfectly fit and happy. We stayed there for hours and went home right away and the moment that I can never forget happened. As we ride the bus Gale accidentally held my hand, I now he didn’t intentionally did that he just lose his balance though, he let go of my hand immediately and said sorry. I can still feel his hand with mine.

As I was writing this I can’t help to smile and look outside my window where I can see Gale’s house. I know it’s too soon to say this but I think there’s a little something in my heart that tells me that Gale’s the one.
