Gale's POV
I slowly went up to her, taking small steps and even taking small breaths. She slowly turns in my way and from that very moment our eyes met.
“Mary?” I said under my breath, she just gave me a confused look like she doesn’t know me.
“Gale?” she finally said and she slowly stands up.
“Is it really you?” I said as I went closer to her. She just looks into my eyes and it seems like she’s studying my whole face at that very moment.
“I’m sorry, I just can’t recognize you that well.” She said, “I lost my memory a long time ago, but I remember some parts where you were in and I recognize your face.”
“When did that happen?” I said and for that moment I really can’t believe to what happen to her, maybe that’s why I couldn’t find her.
“They said it was by the time when my husband Josh and I went to a certain trip and on our way back home we encounter an accident, an accident that killed my husband and erased my memory.” She said,
“I’m sorry Mary, I’m sorry that I’m not with you that time. I know I should be but I just couldn’t find you. I tried many time on finding you but I just can’t find you. I ‘m sorry Mary.” I said as I held her hand and tears starts to form in my eyes.
“It’s ok Gale; it’s not your fault. I’m the one who hide from you.” she lowered her head, “I change my name and maybe that’s why you couldn’t find me.”
“You change your name, but why?” I asked as I look into her head.
“I don’t really know, the reason I change it was because I don’t want to forget about Bianca. So I change my name into Bianca.” She said and for that very moment my eyes widened, “Sorry Gale.”
“It’s ok, I know you really love her very much.” I said and at that very moment I can’ control my feeling anymore and grab her and wrap her into my arms. “I’m really sorry Mary.”
“For what?” she said.
“For leaving you when we’re still young.” I murmur
“Past is past Gale, all of it was only part of our history.”
“You’re right but I just couldn’t accept the fact that I left you. I left you by the time that you needed me the most.” I said as I held both of her shoulder, then tears started to fall into her eyes and a little smile form into it.
“You’re not mad?” I asked her, pretty confused for what she was thinking.
“I’ve already moved on Gale. I already accept it.” she said as she wipes her tears and turn her back at me, “It’s true that I was pretty hurt for what you did, but Josh was by my side at that moment and I can still remember what he said to me, ‘I know that you still love him and I know that he do too, but if it’s you and him, the time will come that you’ll meet again.’ That’s the precious words he said to me, and look we meet again in the least expected time.” She said and a smile forms into her face.
“So what are you trying to say?” I said as I tilted my head a little bit and waited for her response.
“I’m saying that if it’s us then it’s us.” I can’t believe what I’m hearing right now and I can’t believe that she just said that. “Gale, I never had the chance to say what I really feel for you, and I guess this is the chance to say it to you.” Then a long pause came “I really loved you for a really long time, from the very first time that our eyes met. But I guess it’s already too late.”
