Crashed
I wake up that next morning feeling uneasy and the time we went home yesterday Nathan said something to me, “Hey! Are you alright?” I didn’t answer him nor look at him; we just continue walking the street until we reached our house. I stop for a moment at our front porch and look at him. I didn’t say a word and I lowered my head but then he went close to me he held both sides of my shoulders and kiss me on the forehead, “Everything will be alright.” He looks at me and gave me a smile and he started walking away. I followed him with my eyes until I can no longer hold a sight of him. I went in and found mom preparing for dinner, I went upstairs and went to bed and empty my mind.
I crawl out of bed and grab the journal and started reading it.

July 25 1956
Gale and I went to school earlier this morning and the guy that was following me or should I saw staking me have shown up and confront us. I didn’t expect Gale to hold my hand at that very moment. The guy looks at our hands and look at Gale in the eyes and next in mine. I look at his pale gray eyes and he dashed off. Gale smiled at me at that very moment and he didn’t notice that he’s holding my hand. I didn’t want to let go of his hand at that very moment but I need to. I don’t want Gale to find out that I got something for him. I raised my hand which he held and he just looked at me in the eyes and immediately let go. I saw him blushing and I can’t help to laugh at him.
During the lunch break in school Gale went off somewhere and I was left alone in the cafeteria. I tried to find people who I know but the truth is Bianca is the only friend I had in or school. So I sat alone in the cafeteria waiting for Gale to arrive but he never did. Instead someone else sat in front of me, I almost jump off and started to run but he held my hand, he’s the one who’s stalking me. I freaked out but I can’t shout because no one will hear me because of the noise in the cafeteria instead I sat down and try to calm myself. His name was Josh. He told me everything, the day that he talked to me and asked about Gale and I, and by the way he isn’t new here, I just didn’t notice him around school. He told me that he has a crush on me since grade school and he notice that Gale and I are always together and that what made him talked to me. He didn’t know about Bianca being gone and why Gale and I are always together. We talked to each other the whole break time.
As Gale and I went home I told him about Josh, he laugh at me teased me as we went home.

July 30 1956
Earlier that weekend Gale and I went out for a walk and grab some snacks as we went to the nearest park. As we went in and saw tons of children playing we decided not to go and instead we went to a ride a bike. Gale didn’t know that I can’t ride a bike, he teased me and made fun of me. He will left me out and pedal as fast as he can and I was there struggling to find my balance and when I finally got the hang of it, suddenly I can’t control the bike and crash through a tree. I got a huge scar on my knee that time and by the time Gale was running towards me Josh suddenly showed up out of nowhere. He lifts me up and carries me. I look at Gale and trying to reach my hand on him but he was there standing looking at me with his brown eyes. Josh put me down on a bench and tried to clean my wound with his handkerchief. I was just looking at him as Gale went to us with our bikes. Josh just looked at Gale and stand up, “What are you thinking leaving a girl who doesn’t know how to ride a bike?!” Josh shouted at Gale.
“I’m just teaching her how to ride a bike.”
“Is that what you call teaching?”
“What’s your problem?!”
I can’t stand seeing Gale getting angry so I shouted at them, “Will you stop fighting! It’s my fault not Gale.” I said as I stood up and walk away to the, with my knee wounded I can’t really walk that well and Gale went to me and said, “I’m sorry; I know it’s really my fault leaving like you like that.” I looked at him and didn’t say a word. Gale and I walked home and by the time we arrived in front of our house Gale insist that he should go in and take the blame about my wound. At first I didn’t let him but his just too pushy and finally I gave in. he talked to my mom about the incident and mom cleaned and treated my wound. Gale was there sitting at our living room doing nothing.

“Sam! Nathan’s here.” Mom shouted. Nathan? What is he doing here at this time of the day? I put a clean shirt and went down. I didn’t bother to brush my hair or even wash my face, I found Nathan sitting on our couch and looking at me. I put an empty face on him as I went down and I asked him,
“What are you doing here?”
“Just checking if you’re Ok.” He said as he stood up.
“I’m fine you don’t need to worry.” I said,
“Want to go somewhere?” he asked. I don’t know if I’m going to say yes, or No, but luckily mom arrive and said something,
“Sam and I are going to his Grandpa’s house today.” Mom said as he gave me glass of water.
“Oh, is that so, maybe next time.” Nathan said.
“I know! Why don’t you tag along with us.” Mom said as he gave him a smile.
“Thank you, but I think I shouldn’t.”
“Why is that so?” Mom said,
“Mom, He said he wouldn’t.” I said as I held mom’s hand.
“Ok dear, maybe next time,” Mom said.
“I think I better go now.” Nathan said.
“Ok dear be careful, Sam why don’t you go escort him.” mom said as he smiles at me and went in the kitchen to prepare some breakfast.
“Ok mom.” I said and I led Nathan out.
“OK, Bye.” I said,
“Wait.” He said,
“What?” I said and Nathan looked into my eyes in a few seconds and said,
“Nothing.” He said, “Bye Sam.” as he walk and it’s odd seeing Nathan like that,
“Hey! I’m really fine. You don’t need to worry about me. I’m fine, as long as you’re here.” I said.
“Nice to hear that.” He said and wave at me.
“Bye.” I said and gave him a smile. I waited for him to turn at the corner before I went in our house.
Mom and I have breakfast together and I washed up and fix myself. As I went down I saw something on our coffee table and picked it up. It’s Nathan, I guess he have left it. I went up in my room and put it in my drawer but as I was looking at it I saw my name on the paper.

I guess it’s for me. I opened it and started reading it but mom called me and I went down and left the letter in my drawer..
