Chapter 24: The Morgue Exclusive

Natalie and her friends enter Noah's hospital room.
"Hey."
"Hey!"
Audrey stands up and puts a cup of water down. Natalie looked at her brother. He was a mess.
"How you doing bro."
Natalie sat beside him on his bed. He didn't look at her.
Emma rubbed his shoulder.
"I Ummm...got you a coffee."
Emma handed a coffee to Audrey. She looked at Emma in shock.
"And I got you a mocha, coconut, extra shot right?"
Emma held the mocha in her hand.
"I can only have clear fluids."
Everything went silent.
"Okay. Right I should of known that."
Emma put the mocha down.
"We downloaded a bunch of movies, all your scary favorites."
Will said, smirking at Noah.
"Friday the 13th, night of the living dead, it follows."
"I don't want to watch any of that."
Everyone looked at eachother. Natalie was going to hold Noah's hand but knew he didn't want her too.
"Zoe said it. I turned death into a puzzle I can solve instead of dealing with my feelings. I missed out on so much. Obsessing on slasher logic, being detective, I'm done with all of that."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm done with my murder obsession and everything that goes with it in shutting down the Morgue."
"You can't give up Noah."
"Why not, he wins every game. Thinking we saved someone, keeping them safe and as soon as you think it's over and you can finally love...he screws it up."
Natalie teared up, those words reminded her of Jake. She saved him once and couldn't do it again.
"I told my mom you would go over and take down the murder board and pack up everything that goes with it...I don't wanna see that stuff ever again."
Natalie was about to say something but Emma stepped in.
"Yeah, whatever you need Noah."
Emma smirked alittle and Noah nodded.

Natalie sat on a coach at the coffee shop. She was looking through her images of picture of Jake and all her friends.
Picture of them when they were little and them now, well months ago before everything got ugly.
"Hey!"
Stavo sat beside her.
She closed her laptop and smiled.
"Hello Stavo."
"How you been."
"Better...kinda."
"Well did the thing with your parents go well? You never texted me."
Natalie pushed her hands down her face.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry."
He chuckled.
"Hey its all good."
He smiled.
"It went well. They tried to save there own asses before admitting to it."
"Huh...seems like your parents are *Couph* dicks *couph*"
Natalie giggled.
"You are very correct on that one."
Natalie got a text from Emma.

-murder board down...found something werid about Rileys funeral. I'll call later when we find out some more news.

"Trouble?"
"Oh um...kinda. Emma, Audrey, Will and Kieran went to take Noah's murder board down. Hes shutting down the Morgue."
"Wait what?"
"I don't blame him. Hes lost two of his girlfriends and he's right. The killer always wins."
Natalie frowns.
"No...he doesn't. This is what he wants. He knew by destroying something close to Noah meaning..."
"He knew Noah was close from finding out."
"Exactly."
"Oh my god! Stavo your amazing!"
She hugged him.
"Well I didn't really say it but thanks."
"I need to go find Emma. Could you persuade him. I'll tell Audrey to leave cause your her number one suspect."
He chuckles.
"Thanks."
He stands up.
"Stavo."
He turns to her.
"Thank you...for everything you've done to help us...specially me. I needed someone like you. It means alot."
He smiles and leaves the cafe.
Natalie opens her laptop and looks at a picture of her and Jake.
She leans back and sighs.

"So what did you find?"
"Apparently Eli had been emailing and sending letters to Piper. Had evidence of everything. He was at Rileys funeral."
"Wait what?"
Natalie entered her house and locked the door, walking up the stairs with her phone to her ear.
"That's werid. Why would he do it."
"That's what we are trying to figure out."
"Call me back when you have more info. I did never really like him."
"Alright, we sre foing to the farm house. See you later."
She hangs up and Natalie enters her room. She turns her light on and goes on her computer on her bed.
She quickly checks twitter but something shows up.
"The morgue had uploaded a video? Stavo did it!"
Natalie was so happy. Stavo persuaded Noah to continue.
She pressed it and screams filled the room. Natalie stares her computer confused on what was happening.
Voice recordings of Audrey and Emma started to play.
A video of Zoe drowning, then Jake appeared on screen. Him being killed and then him on the ground when he was beneath her.
One piece of the video caught her eye.
Jake was dead, sitting against a wall and Audrey expected his body. Taking something off his corpse.
"Audrey?"
Natalie slammed her computer down.
She called Emma. Tears filled her eyes.
"I know you got my texts and calls. I'm coming to the farm. Tell Audrey shes screwed"
"Wait Nat-"
Natalie hung up and got into her car and drove there. Tears ran down her face.
Audrey knew Jake was dead.
That video was before he fell on her because a day after he was cleaned.
Natalie trusted Audrey and now Audrey screwed up.
