Chapter 23: Drowning Sorrows

The air was silent and Natalie broke it by speaking.
"Hes gotta be here."
Natalie stared looking around.
"We've already looked.
"There's nothing here."
Emma yelled.
"Look again."
Audrey yelled back.
"Do not put this on me!"
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing...no no no I didn't do this."
Natalie watched as her friends fought in front of her.
"You brought this down on all of us!"
Emma yelled in Audreys face.
Audrey looked around.
"Wh-what are you t-two talking about?"
Natalie said, stuttering. Looking at the scythe.
"You brought Piper here, what did I do to you?"
"Wait what?"
Natalie muttered. They ignored her.
"I was pissed. Okay I was pissed. You had all your new friends and you abandoned me!"
"You wanted nothing to do with me!"
"Whatever."
"No not whatever. What did I do to you to hate me this much?"
"You really want to know right now?"
"Guys..."
They kept yelling at eachother.
"Yes I really wanna know. Why do you hate me?"
"Because you broke my heart!"
Everything went silent. Emma stood there in shock.
"I loved you okay and you broke my heart...and the worst part is you didn't even know you were doing it."
Audrey pulled back her hair, with teary eyes.
Something gasped, a male voice.
Everyone went silent.
"The pig!"
Natalie pointed out. They all ran to it and pulled it. A patch of wet dirt layed beneath it. Audrey got a shovel and threw another at Natalie. Emma ran and got one herself.
"Hey Noah were almost there."
Audrey yelled down to him.
They dug and dug and finally got to a wooden coffin.
They pulled at the top of it and it came off.
"Hey!"
Noah yelled.
"Oh my god Noah."
Natalie jumped down and gently pulled her brother out.
"Are you real?"
"Yeah buddy we are real, come on."
Audrey helped him up.
"I thought I was dead."
"So did we Foster."
Natalie checked his stab wound.
"Its deep but not pouring blood yet so that's a good sign...thank god your okay."
"I wasn't alone. I heard Zoe."
"Zoe?"
"Someone help me!"
Her voice came from under Noah's coffin.
Natalie and Audrey jumped down and moved it, revealing a little box.
Audrey picked it up and opened it.
It had a phone, that had a video of Zoe. She was screaming.
"Please help me I'm sinking!"
"Zoes buried alive too."
Natalie muttered.
They all got up, helping eachother and left the barn. Natalie looked at the chains Jake hanged on one last time before leaving.
"She's drowning. We have to save her."
"The dock."
Natalie sighed.
"It has to be it. There's where they died."

Noah yelled in pain. Natalie looks and the stab wound start to bleed.
"Oh god its bleeding alot."
"We will turn around and go to the hospital. We'll call the cops to get Zoe."
"No no. He said no cops. No Cops!"
"Noah..."
"No! We are getting Zoe and saving her."
Natalie looked at Audrey.
"Okay."

They ran onto the docks.
This was the first time Natalie returned back here since she fell in.
"She's gotta be here somewhere."
Natalie pointed.
"Over there!"
They all ran back to the side where Audrey layed when she got shot by Brooke.
Audrey and Emma pulled up the coffin.
"Zoe we're here, can you hear me?"
Water started to spill out of it and Natalie used a crowbar to open it. It opened and there were no screams.
Zoe layed still in the wooden coffin, pale as a ghost. Her eyes were the same color as Jakes when he fell on her.
"Zoe...no."
"Oh my."
Noah pulled his phone out and the video wasn't live, it was recorded. Zoe died hours ago.
Noah fell to his knees and cried.
Natalie went by his side and kneeled next to him. She wrapped her arms around him and they cried with eachother.

The red and blue lights flickered in the dark.
Noah was being put into an ambulance. Natalie ran to him.
"Can I join him please. Hes my brother."
She waved goodbye to Audrey and Emma and quickly looked at the body bag that Noah was staring at, Zoes body bag. She jumped in, sitting beside her brother.
"Please don't die Noah. I can't loose you too."
"You won't...I promise."
Noah mutters, he passes out.
Natalie holds his bloody hand and gets a message from Unknown.
-Poor Natalie. Hope Noah doesn't die.

Natalie frowned at her phone.
"I won't let him kill you. I won't let him kill another person."
