Time flies, that’s for sure. I'm thirty-six weeks and bigger than ever. My parents and Jess have been a big help to me through this whole pregnancy. My dad has finally come around and he is now a little excited for the arrival of his first Grandson. Since the altercation at school, the name calling has subsided.

Every night, I sit in the nursery across from my room and admire the surprised my parents left for me. My parents sent me off to some teen pregnancy retreat for a weekend and when I came back the nursery was set up. One out of the four walls is black, another is blue, and then two of the walls are white. The black wall has my baby's name written in cursive in blue ink. It also has a gray track around his name with race cars that looked like they were racing. In front of the blue wall, there is a black wooden crib with a changing table. In front of one of the white walls, there is a black dresser that matched the crib. In one of the corners, there is a rocking chair

I had everything I ever needed thanks to my baby shower. At my baby shower my family, friends, and their family came, bringing me everything I needed ranging from diapers, bottles, bibs, clothes, shoes, car seat with a matching stroller, blankets, and a lot more. I couldn’t thank them enough.

I was set for this baby to come but at the same time I was scared and nervous. What if I'm a horrible mom? I got off the rocking chair and made my way to the kitchen to get something to drink.

I was pouring tea in my glass when a sharp pain hit me and I dropped the glass, making a loud shattering noise. I held the corner of the island as the contraction hit. “Mom!” I shouted. Once the pain stopped, I began cleaning the mess.

“What happened? You okay?” Mom asked with a frantic look.

“Yeah, I think I had a Braxton Hick contraction and I dropped the glass.” I answered.

“Go sit or lay down while I clean this mess.” She instructed me.

I rolled my eyes before walking to the living room. I turned the TV on and began watching George Lopez. I began laughing hard before I felt another contraction hit. I clenched my teeth, waiting for it to pass. Once it passed, I looked at the time. 1:30AM

Mom walked towards me and immediately noticed my discomfort. “Why does it hurt this bad?”

She chuckled before replying. “Honey, this is nothing compared to child birth. The baby is getting ready to come out. I give it a few more days. Go try to rest because when he gets here, you won't be getting much.”

I rolled my eyes, making my way to my room. I got to the end of the stairs and my knees buckled. I grabbed the rail as another contraction hit.

I felt a weird sensation between my legs and when I looked down, a puddle of water was under my feet. I was freaking out, “Mom! Mom! I think my water just broke.”

I looked up to see Jessica with her eyes half closed. “Did you pee yourself?” She asked before realization showed on her face. “Your water broke? Isn't it too early?” She asked, freaking out. She ran to the room and grabbed my hospital bag containing anything you'd think a women going in labor would need.

“You go sit down while we get everything ready.” Mom stated.

“First, I need to shower.” I stated, feeling disgusting.

“Okay, but I am staying in there with you in case you fall.” She stated seriously.

“What? No, I can do it myself. I'll call you if I need anything.” I stated before walking to the bathroom.

Much to my liking, my mom followed. “I'm being serious. I will stand in the corner or something but I am coming in.”

“No, mom! Call Dr. Turner and let her know what's going on.” I shut the door and got in the shower after stripping my clothes.
