“Good morning,” Mom said, from the doorway when I woke up.

“Good morning,” I answered.

“What the hell happened to your wrist?” She inquired, walking towards me, grabbing my wrist.

I noticed my wrist was bruised with Derricks hand prints, “Derrick…”

“What the hell did that bastard do?” She interrogated. I explained everything, including me forgiving him and she was highly pissed. “Are you that stupid? He put his hands on you and you are just going to take him back?” She questioned.

“So, you’re saying that when dad cheated on you with your best friend and you forgave him, you’re stupid?” I tested, getting irritated.

“But he didn’t put his hands on me? Besides, how did you know?” She said slowly, not knowing how I knew.

“I talked to dad about Derrick and he told me. Also, I honestly believe Derrick didn’t realize what he was doing.” I defended him.

“I have always had your back on everything, but I don’t agree that he put his hands on you. I think this is the start of a cycle. I love you, so promise me, that if he ever puts his hands on you again, you’ll take the kids and leave?” She asked with voice full of concern.

“Mom, if he ever puts his hands on me again, I’ll cut those damn things off.” I promised, chuckling slightly.

“Me and dad are going to take Bentley to a water park so you and Derrick can go on that date.” She stated.

“You don’t have to do that, he can come with me.” I replied, feeling guilty.

“I had this planned for a while now. So it’s okay.” She replied, kissing me on my forehead.

I followed her out and went to get the girls, “Dani, Gabi,” I cooed, picking the laughing babies up. I heard my phone ringing so I sat the baby’s back down and grabbed my phone, walking back in the nursery. “Hello,” I answered.

“So, me and Mike are talking about having a baby…” She started off.

“Awh, that’s good. It is fun but there are hard times.” I answered, truly happy for her.

“Well, we were wondering if we could watch the twins today and tomorrow and have some practice?” She questioned. “Later this week, I'll be coming to get my things. I already talked to Mom and Dad.”

“Yeah, that sounds good. Let me get them ready.” I replied. She told me they’d be over later and we hung up the phone. I fed the twins and then got them dressed. They fell asleep so I sat them in their cribs and made their bags. I walked downstairs and noticed Brandon was still asleep while Cynthia was playing with Bentley. I jumped on the bed, yelling, “Wakey wakey!” He grabbed my ankles, flipping me down and towering on top of me. He started tickling me. “Stop,” I giggled out. He stopped and stared into my eyes, leaning down.

“Mommy,” Bentley walked in, snapping us out of the moment before our lips connected.

“Hey baby,” I got up, hugging him, tightly.

“Nana and Papa are taking me to the water park,” He stated, sweetly.

“Oh really?” I asked with over enthusiasm.

“Yeah.” He chuckled, running off.

I heard the doorbell ring, followed with Jessica’s voice, “Bentley!”

“Hey Auntie Jess.” Bentley shouted.

“I’ll go get the twins.” I stated after giving Jess a hug.
