I blinked my eyes a few times, wiping the sleep out of the way. I turned to my left and picked up my ringing phone. “Hello?” I said groggily.

“Hi Jennifer, this is Dr. Turner and your results are in. You can pick them up whenever.” She beamed, sweetly.

“That’s great! So is he the father?” I asked impatiently, but not sounding rude.

She chuckled. “They are private. I am not allowed to open the papers.”

I sighed disappointed than I remembered I am only a few mintues away from reading the life changing results. Maybe I can have the family I have always wanted. “Thank you so much for everything you have ever done for me. I'll be there soon.”

“You’re welcome, sweetie. Good luck with everything. Bye.” The line went dead, and I screamed, happily and nervous. I checked on a sleeping Bentley before running to my mom's room.

“Mom! Mom, the results are in!” I yelled.

She chuckled. “Alright, well you get ready and let Derrick know so you both can meet up at the clinic to find out together. I'll keep an eye on Bentley.”

“Okay, thanks! He is still asleep.” I kissed her on the cheek and ran back to my room. I grabbed my phone and called Derrick.

“Babe?” His morning groggy voice was so sexy. Head out of the gutter, Jenny!

“Hey! The results are in. Meet me at the clinic in ten minutes.” I ended the call, not even waiting for reply. I realized it was kind of rude but I needed to hurry and get ready.

I threw on a pair of jean shorts and a blue tank top. I slipped on my white vans. I grabbed my keys after pulling my frizzy hair in a messy bun. I kissed Bentley on the cheek as I watched him sleep for a few seconds. “Mommy loves you baby boy.”

I hurried downstairs and rushed to the clinic. I saw Derrick standing near his truck on his phone with an upset expression on his face. I took in his appearance, noticing he had on blue basketball shorts, a white t-shirt, and a pair of white/blue Jordan's. He also had on a pair a glasses that made my breathing hitch. I parked and got out, practically running into his arms. “Hey pretty lady. Why did you hang up on me?”

I smiled as he frowned. “I was too excited. I had to rush to get ready. I'm so excited but I'm so nervous. I didn't mean anything. Is that were you were grumpy when I pulled up?”

He kissed my lips. “A little bit. Let's find out the results, Bentley has waited long enough.”

I nodded my hand and laced my finger through his. I walked to the front desk. “I'm here to pick up DNA results concerning my son. My name is Jennifer King.”

“Here you go. Good luck.” She handed it to me and I couldn't wait to open it. We walked outside and to my car. “Are you ready for this?”

He nodded his head. “Open it!”

I chuckled. I opened it and began to read it. “Derrick Williams is 99.99% the biological father to Bentley King.” I jumped up, screaming as Derrick spun me around in circles. He kissed me with so much passion. “Meet me at my house so you can meet your son.”

He kissed me again. “See you in five.”

I smiled. “See you in five.” I rushed home and opened the front door. “Derrick's the dad! Derrick's the dad!”

My parents and Jessica rushed to me, hugging and congratulating me. “Now it's time for them to meet.” Jessica stated.

“I know. He should be here soon. Where is my baby? Bentley! Benny! Where are you?” I called.
