The Masked Person

Lily's POV
I was a few feet ahead of mom. Since mom decided to stay back to change into her Agent outfit, I was left to my own devices for a while. Just then, I heard a shout from behind me.

"Lily!" Mom called. I stopped to allow her to catch up.

"Lily, I told you to stay where you were."

"I was just curious!" I said, even though I was really wanting to find the person in need of help.

"Well, can your curiosity go back into the little crevice it came out of? Besides you don't know what's out here. It's dangerous!"

I scoffed. "Pfft! Dangerous, shamerous. Whatever. Besides I assume that's what Dad always told you on missions like these. But did you listen? Nope! You completely disobeyed his orders. And boy, I'm surprised you haven't been killed yet."

Lucy's POV
I rolled my eyes at Lily. Sassy as always...

Just then I heard a twig snap. I couldn't tell if it was an animal or if it was the person who needed help. Or maybe it was the killer?

I couldn't process the details over Lily's blabbering. "Shh!" I told her.

Lily gave me a shocked look. "Did you just shush me?"

"Lily, quiet! I hear something."

She obeyed finally after a while. Then both of us focused our hearing on our surroundings.

But the longer we seemed to listen, the less we heard.

Suddenly, I heard another twig snap on my right. I turned my head around to see a person dressed up in some sort of suit. His or her face was covered by a mask. The mask made the person look like an elephant.

"Lily stay back!" I demanded.

The person just stood there and looked at both of us.

I didn't flinch. "Who are you? And what do you want?!"

No response.

I became very cross. "Who are you and what do you want?!"

Still no answer.

I became more and more frustrated.

"Are you deaf? Can you not understand me?! I am asking you to tell me who you are! I am Princess- no, Queen, of Ladarius and I demand you to say your name!"

Just then the figure started to move a bit closer. I started backing up and Lily stood behind me. "Um, hey! What are you-"

But the figure didn't listen. All he or she did was continue to walk closer to us both.
