Lucy's POV
I went back to the castle. As I rode on Butterscotch, I felt as if someone was following me. But every time I looked behind me no one was there. Maybe it was just me...

Soon I was back home. I looked around to make sure no one saw me. Like last time. I almost had a literal heartattack and I hope to never experience something like that again. I mean, sure I've experienced many other heart-racing experiences in the past during my Agent years but you know what I mean.

Once I saw that the coast was clear I ran up the stairs to Jake's room. Then I used the key to unlock the door.

I was in his room and I was in utter astonishment. Unlike most boys, his room was literally spotless. To be honest I was expecting a bunch of clothes to be lying all over the floor. The bedsheets to be all wrinkly. And all of the shelves to be open with clothes spewing out.

But there was nothing. It almost looked like an empty prison cell only much nicer. A lot nicer!

I went over to the closet expecting a tidal wave of dirty laundry or a lot of junk to crash over me. Surprisingly all there was, were neatly hanged clothes on hangers.

I rummaged through each suit until I found what I thought to be suitable for Adam to wear.

"Perfect!" I said.

Just then I heard a whoosh.

"I think I heard a whoosh."

I looked around, grabbing an empty glass soda bottle.
Just then I saw a figure. Not knowing what it would do to me, I chucked the bottle at it.

Matt's POV
I was not expecting that. "OUCH!!!" I shouted falling on the floor.

"Matt?" Lucy asked.

"Don't ever do that again!" I said, rubbing my forehead. "Seriously, what is wrong with you?! Do you do this to a lot of people?!" I got up.

"Sorry." Lucy said apologetically. "You scared me. Wait, how'd you manage to get in here?"

I pointed to the window. "I came here through the open window."

Lucy nodded. "Makes sense..."

I sat on the bed. "This is a nice room. Is it yours?"

"No. This is one of my guard's rooms."

"Guards... No wonder you're spoiled."

"Excuse me?" Lucy said raising an eyebrow.

I decided not to continue. "Nothing. Never mind."

Lucy crossed her arms, a grin forming on her mouth. "That's what I thought. Now then, explain to me why you're here, in MY home without MY permission."

I cleared my throat. "I followed you."

"That explains the strange feeling that I felt all the way home. What else?"

I continued. "I wanted to talk to you about a few things."

"OK. Shoot it."

"You said that Flames Pond was alive, right?"

"Well... I mean, yeah. But it's complicated."

"No it's not."

Lucy's POV
I was really confused. "What do you mean?"

"I'm saying that I believe you. To be honest, I used to know Flames."

My eyes grew wide "You- You did? But I've never heard of you before. Nor has Flames ever mentioned you."

"Well, that's because we made a vow to never talk about each other to anyone if one of us ever happened to get killed. Just for the sake of our own to keep things moving forward."

"So what happened?"

Matt lowered his head. "We were sent on a mission to track down the Fuzzy Guy. I was held as a hostage and Flames had just come to my rescue. Now I'm gonna be frank with you. Flames and I used to be... close. Not in a dating way I mean come on. But he was like a brother to me. And I was a brother to him, you know?"

"Yeah."

"Anyways, so I was hostage and Flames didn't know what to do with the remaining few seconds on a rocket that I was tied to. And although we were close, I never understood his famous line of, "Flames Pond never dies."

My mouth dropped. "Seriously?? You didn't know that?"

"Well, I guess I wasn't supposed to know."

I joined Matt on the bed.
"I'm sorry so Matt."

Matt shrugged. "It's fine... I guess everyone's gotta have their secrets. Right?"
