Lucy's POV
For quite some time I couldn't stop looking at my bedroom window. My patience was running thin. So thin, that the maids had to bring my dinner to my room. They must've thought that I was still mourning the loss of my mother. Well, to be honest, that was partly true. But the majority of it was because I didn't want to miss Flames' arrival.

Now, don't get me wrong. Don't think that I didn't miss my mother. For I missed her dearly. As a matter of fact, I am really close to thinking that her death was mainly my fault. I hardly spent time with her.

Wait, what am I saying? Am I blaming my years of training as an Agent on my mother's death?

I tried to think of something else. Something that didn't remind me of my mother. But everywhere I turned it seemed as if I could see her, standing there in disbelief. I looked at myself in the vanity mirror. Although the mirror reflected back the image of a pretty Princess, I saw a little girl with lost eyes.

I suddenly felt something run down my cheek. I was crying. I wiped the tear away. But then more tears replaced it. Soon I was in a total meltdown.

Adam's POV
When I got to the castle, I was greeted by the sound of crying. "Lucy?" I called.

The crying continued.

I saw a tree leading up to Lucy's window. Carefully I climbed up the tree. However, I lost my footing and I was nearly about to fall. Soon I was hanging upside down.

"Um, Lucy!" I shout. "I could really use your help right now!!"

She didn't come. So I was all by myself. Using all the muscles in my leg, I pulled myself up. Wanting this to be over with, I climbed through the window.

"Lucy," I said. "Did you not hear me call-" I stopped. "For help..."

I became silent. Lucy was sobbing. Her eyes were red and tears were all over her cheeks.

"Lucy?" I asked.

Lucy sniffed. "Oh. It's just you..."

I took a seat next to her on her bed. "Lucy, what's the matter?"

Again, she sniffed and wiped away a tear. "It's nothing. OK? I... I'm glad you're here."

"Well, we did promise each other, didn't we?"

She remained silent and I frowned. "OK. I hate it when you don't tell me what's going on. Just say it."

Lucy buried her head in her hands. "It's complicated..."

I put a hand on her shoulder. "Wanna take a little walk?"

Lucy scoffed. "So you can get caught?"

"I meant at the lake." I joked. Then I grinned and added, "Star Swirl."

Lucy giggled a little then she nodded. "OK."
