Choosing between two friends

Adam's POV
I waited and waited for what seemed like hours. Half of me began to think if Lucy got caught. I was about to go find her when I heard a twig snap. I turned in the direction of the snap. Was it Lucy? I thought. Maybe it was. But what if it wasn't? What if it was a guard that was searching in the woods?

Just then I saw some movement in some bushes.

Getting ready in my attack position, I watched as the small branches of the bush continued to rustle. I was very still.

However, to my dismay it was just a little bunny.

I grinned. I was scared by a little harmless creature.

Suddenly someone spoke behind me. "Flames?"

I spun around and raised my fists. A blonde hair man raised his hands up.

Lucy's POV
I watched as Matt's eyes started to grow fear in them.

"Please, don't hurt me!" Matt pleaded to Adam.

"Flames, you heard the young man. Stand down." I said.

Adam brought his fists down.
"Who are you?"

Matt cleared his throat. "Flames, don't you remember me?"

Adam raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I don't think so...."

"It's me, Matt Theissen. Spaghetti Jones."

Adam looked as if he was talking to an alien then his eyes grew wide and his mouth formed a huge smile. "Wait, Matty?"

Matt nodded and smiled as well. To be honest, if I wrote a diary on this and someone read it aloud to him or herself, I wouldn't be surprised to find a fanfiction on these two already.

Matt's POV
"I can't believe it's really you Flames!" I said. "But I thought you were dead? What happened in there?"

Flames chuckled. "To be honest, I dunno where to start. You see I was-"

Lucy cut him off. "Um, actually, Adam and I have to get going now. Let's go Adam!"

She started walking off while Flames and I walked in the opposite direction.

Lucy's POV
I was starting to walk away, when I noticed that Adam wasn't following me at all. When I looked back, I could see him and Matt talking away and laughing. Was Adam ignoring me to be with his long lost friend again?

I stopped. "Adam, you coming?" I called.

Adam and Matt both turned to look at me.
Adam rubbed the back of his neck. "Lucy, I think I changed my mind. Just go on without me. Good luck with trying to change the laws."

I was kind of upset to hear this. But I tried not to show it. "Oh... OK."

And reluctantly I left the two there. Without looking back, I could hear the two laughing still.
