Lucy's POV
"Matt?" I repeated.

Matt nodded. "Yeah. I know, it's not a very cool name. But you know..."

I shook my head. "No. That's not true. I think it's a wonderful name. At least it's better than Spaghetti Jones."

Matt seemed unamused by this retort.
"Sorry." I say not wanting Matt to be mad at me. Or more mad at me for that matter. Besides I did start beating him with a stick.

Matt smiled. "It's OK. I'm used to it. Kind of."

I grinned. I knew exactly how he felt. I used to be made fun of all the time.

Maybe I'll tell him that.

"Matt..." I began. "I just wanted to let you know that-"

But before I could get any further, Matt was gone.

Jake's POV
I was walking down the street when someone pummels me. I began somersaulting when I come to a stop to see Lucy on top of me. "Um, Lucy?" I asked. "What are you doing?"

"Jake!" Lucy exclaimed. "Wait where's Cassidy?"

"Oh, she went back home already."

"Oh. Sorry for running into you like that. But I really need to ask you a question."

"Shoot it." I say.

"OK. Oh gosh, everything has happened so quickly and I honestly have no idea how to explain this to you but-"

Suddenly I hear someone call my name.

"Jacob!" the voice called. "Is that you?"

I turned around to see one of my best friends.

"Oh my gosh!" I exclaimed. "Clyde, is that you?!"

The blonde haired male nodded. "In the flesh!"

"It's been forever!" I say as we fist bumped.

"Yeah." Clyde said. Just then he noticed Lucy. "And who is this lovely lady?"

Lucy's POV
Should I be concerned about this? I thought.

Not wanting to be rude I faked a smile and answered, "I am Queen Lucy. Well, OK. I say I'm Queen but it's not official yet."

"Ah yes!" Clyde said. "I'm sorry about your loss. I've experienced that a long time ago. When I lost my sister."

I almost died. "Your sister?! Oh my god. I'm so sorry!"

"Thanks but I'll be fine. I promise." Clyde said.

He turned back to Jake. "Hey, I gotta jet. But I'll see you later. Right bud?"

Jake nodded. "Of course!"

Clyde smiled and then he turned back to me. "And I hope to see you sometime again as well, my dear." Then he took my hand and kissed it softly.

"Yeah... OK." I said, jerking it back.

After that, Clyde left.
