Adam's POV
Once Lucy and I were in her bedroom, we decided to have a small talk.

Lucy seemed down.

"You alright?" I asked.

"Do you want the truth?" she asked.

"Please."

I took a seat next to her on the bed.

"Alright... I just couldn't take it down there. When Matt asked if I had parents I just couldn't answer."

She looked at me. Fire began to blaze in her eyes. And her voice was choking.
"Why did she have to die? It's all the Doctor's faults! They weren't able to help her! I shouldn't be here! Why am I here? I wish I could just die!"

"Lucy, don't say things like that!" I shouted.

"Why not? Where were you all those years back Flames Pond? Huh? Where were you?" She asked.

I couldn't find the words.

"Gosh dang it, Flames! Answer me! Where were you when I needed you? Where were you when Lily was all alone?"

"Lucy... I... I'm sorry."

Lucy's POV
My eyes started to water. And soon I was bursting into tears again.

Adam put an arm around me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm so sorry..." Adam whispered in a hurt voice. "I'm so sorry...!"

I ignored him. I was too caught up in my crying to answer.

Just then I heard something. Something melodic and it made me feel all warm inside.

It was Flames singing a tune.

You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
Cause they fill the open air
And leave teardrops everywhere
You'd think me rude but I would just stand and stare...

Adam's POV
The moment I finished singing, Lucy was calmed down. We just sat there, hand in hand. Lucy with her head rested on my shoulder.

"Lucy?" I ask.

She sniffed. "What is it Flames?"

"Are you still mad at me?"

She lifted her head up. "It's just..."

I put a finger to her lips. "Don't say it. Listen, just hear me out. I'm not mad. I'm just saying... I wasn't able to come back because well, I guess I was hoping for it to be a surprise. But now I realize that maybe I should've been here earlier. I-" I stopped. "I'm really sorry. For everything."

I lowered my head.
But Lucy lifted my head up by my chin. "It's alright. To be honest, I just got carried away. I'm sorry I yelled at you."

"You weren't serious when you said you wanted to die were you? Because if you were, do you know how many people would miss you?"

"Don't be ridiculous! Of course I was joking!"

"Good."

Silence again.

"You know," I said.

"Actually I don't." Lucy teased.

"No matter how many times we fight, you'll always be my wife. You'll always be... my little Star." I smile.

And Lucy smiled back. "And you'll always be my knight in shining armor. My handsome Flames."

We both smiled and the room grew quiet. We both kissed and Lucy began to lie down on the bed. I wrapped my arms around her waist and began kissing her lips softly.

"I love you Star Swirl." I said in a whisper.

"I love you too Flames Pond." She whispered back.
