He Looked Worried...

"Then there's Auntie Jean and Uncle Charlie, my grandma Cindy (she's a bit deaf so be patient around her). Then there's my cousins: Harry, Isabell, Jess, Alex, Josh, Manny-"

"Daniels stop!" This was making me stressed. "Seriously, I can't remember all these names." I put my head in my hands. "I'm useless."

"Hey you're not useless." Daniel laughed. "I probably shouldn't have told you them all at once."

"I'm gonna end up calling your grandma Josh and Josh Cindy." I chuckled.

"They won't mind." He reassured me. "Well.....Uncle Charlie can get a bit angry.....I'm joking!" Daniel said when he saw the panic on my face. "You need to relax! They'll love you. Just be yourself."

"Ok." I smiled.

Christmas was just a week away now. I couldn't wait. I'd been basically living with Daniel these past few weeks and I was loving it.....although i did feel like I had out stayed my welcome.

"Daniel.....you don't mind having me here do you?" I asked him.

"Well....." Oh no. "You can be a bit annoying sometimes...."

"Oh. I can go back to-"

"Joey! You need to lighten up. I'm obviously joking." Daniel smirked. "You're great company."

"You're not too bad yourself." I grinned.

"Although....you might want to stop leaving your clothes around the house."

"Right." I smirked. "Is this another one of your jokes then?"

"Hmm.....maybe." He wrapped his arms around me and planted a kiss on my head.

"I love you." I whispered into his chest.

"I love you too." He smiled. "Now let's stop being so cringey!" He laughed.

"Fine......but cringey's cute."

Daniel just rolled his eyes.

We were interrupted by the door ringing. Daniel went to answer it.

"Urrrm. ....Joey." Daniel came back into the living room. His face was pale and he looked worried.

"Danny?" I felt myself go cold. What was wrong?

He didn't have to say anything more. Two policemen appeared behind him.

"I'm Detective Wilson." One of them spoke. "I'm so sorry....but your Dad has been arrested."
