Tazlynn's POV:
~a while later~
After a long drive in the car..
I took a nap during the drive of course..
Jack taps my shoulder lightly & I open my eyes quickly..
I've been so excited..
To see where he's taking me..
He smiles at me
"We have arrived." He says & leans closer to me..
"What are you doing?" I ask him raising a eyebrow
As I watch him..put his hand in his pocket & searches for something.
He brings out a black cloth..
I stare at him..
He places it over my eyes & I cross my arms
I pout my lips.
"Jack what the hell are you doing??!! Answer me damnit!" I say
"I have to put this on you." He says chuckling
"Why?" I ask whining
"Baby..relax it's a total surprise." He says & pecks my lips
"Okay I trust you totally." I say smiling & I feel him grab my hand.
I'm being walked around & I feel as if I'm being walked into a building..
He wraps his arms around me & uncovers my eyes..
I see the whole nightclub filled with everyone..
"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAZLYNN!" They all scream
I gasp & I start to laugh..
"Omg thank you." I say smiling
"See? I told you to relax.." Jack says smirking
"I'll get to you later mister." I say & bite my lip looking at him.
"Don't start me up woman" he says winking & grabs my ass
"Whoa! Okay.." Jasmila says with wide eyes & clutches her chest a little
"Well birthday girl. We got you a crown!!" Nayeli says excitedly
Nate walks up to me & signals me to bend down..
I bend down & he places it over my head..
"All kneel before...Tazlynn. The birthday girl!" Nate says & everyone drops to the floor
They all bow down & start laughing..
I giggle & Nate tells them to get off the ground..
Nate hands me a champagne bottle..
"In honor of Tazlynn turning now 24 years old..here is the beautiful champagne bottle chosen by yours truly..the birthday girl will shake it up & pour it..then we can start to PARTY!" Nayeli yells into the mic..
Johnson walks on stage with a unopened champagne bottle
"Happy birthday Lynn." He says smiling & I smile back at him..
I look to see Derek standing in the corner..smoking a blunt.
I shrug & I shake this bottle..
I pop the bottle open & I pour it into many glasses.
Since it's only me,my family & friends.
The club still had enough room for all of us..
I pour myself a glass but stop myself..
"I can't drink..that's unfair." I say frowning
"We can have the bottle for after the baby." Jack says
"Your cute I love you." I say rolling my eyes & he pulls me closer to him..
"I'm gonna go help the girls with something..be right back" Jack says & runs off..
Derek takes that as a signal to walk over to me..
Because I see him walking straight towards me..
I fix my dress a little & my hair..
He finally reaches me & smirks
"Well..you look very sexy tonight." Derek says biting his lip..
"Thank you but..don't you have a wife at home?" I ask him smirking
He places a hand over my thigh..
"She won't know a thing.." he says eyeing me up & down..
"Sorry Derek I'm married & pregnant." I say sighing..
"Lynn..are you over me?" He blurts out
"Huh?" I say out of confusion
"Are you over me?" He repeats
"Well yeah..I had to get over you. You went back to Samantha & I went back with Jack. I love Jack so much Derek..he's the best husband to me & a amazing father to Ella..he's gonna be a wonderful dad to our little prince." I say
"You do know..the sole purpose of the wedding was for viewership right?" He says
"No..we did it because we wanted it at the house.." I say
"That's not what he thinks." Derek says
"Stop your a manipulative man..you always spread lies about everyone" I say
"I'll tell you one truth." He says
"Fine what is it?" I ask him..
"One night 2 years ago..when Jasmila & Nate were engaged..Jasmila got very drunk & came to my room.." he says
"And what did you do?" I say..
Omg no they didn't..did they?
"We hooked up. I was drunk off my mind.." he says
"But you remember it..clearly" I say glaring at him..
"YOU ASSHOLE! Jasmila was under the influence & you were sober! You took advantage of her! What else happened damnit!" I say a bit loud..
He covers my mouth quickly..
"Nothing else..we went separate ways after that night. I put her back in her room & she woke up in her room next to Nate.." Derek says moving closer to me..
"You mean to this day..she thinks she hooked up with Nate instead of you that night?!" I say pissed off
"Baby relax.." Derek says calmly
"IM NOT YOUR BABY! Derek leave this club..I knew you were up to no good." I yell
Nayeli sees Derek & signals Jack over..
Jack grabs me & moves me away from Derek..
"Did he try anything?" Jack asks me
I shake my head & hug him tightly..
Jasmila walks over to me & sees Derek.
She stares at him & then grabs my hand.
"It's time for cake." She says
I look at her facial expression & she looks uncomfortable.
Derek leaves & Johnson walks over with the cake..
It has lit candles on it & he slowly gets closer to me..
"Happy Birthday to you..happy birthday to you..happy birthday to Tazlynn..happy birthday to you.." they sing a bit off
I laugh & I blow out the candles..
Jasmila looks at me & drags me outside..
"Lynn..what was Derek doing here?" She asks
I decide to sit her down..
"Mila..did you & Derek hook up 2 years ago?" I ask her
She sighs
"Yes..but me & Nate were on a break in our relationship & he took the advantage of me being in a vulnerable state..I don't love him Lynn..but it haunts me seeing him. Because I remember how we..hooked up." She says
"It was only a one time thing?" I ask her
She nods
"Nate must not know this..or it'll crush him." She says frowning
She tears up
"I'm a whore." She adds
I hug her
"Your not a whore Mila..listen to me..the person that's a whore is Derek. He's a total manwhore..he doesn't care about girls feelings or anyone's feelings..your a wonderful girl & you are not a whore.." I say
She smiles & hugs me tight
"I'm so blessed to have you as my best friend." She says
I smile & we walk back inside..
We act as if nothing ever happened & we go to to the party..
One thing I've learned from my mother..
Never share personal secrets about your best friend to others..
Because that's unloyal & your labeled instantly as a gossiper.
By the friend or others..
Me being a awesome friend.
I will never tell Nate about that night..
It's all old news now & we must move forward..
I'm now 24 years old & a new year of life has been given to me..
I must live it funfilled until I'm old & gray..
