John was an idiot.
How do you make someone you just met the new babysitter for the kids yet you don't get his fucking number?
"Paul," he spoke into his phone. "Do you by any chance have Ringo's number?"
"Of course I do," Paul snorted. "Why do you need it?"
"He's taking care of the kids again today," John said. "Your services are not longer needed."
"Freedom!" Paul whooped. "I'll text it to you."
"Gee thanks for the support." John rolled his eyes and hung up.
"Daddy!" A yell from the kitchen. What now?
"I'm coming!" John ran from his room to the kitchen where a heap of legos surrounded what was supposed to be Sean.
"Who did this?" John sighed.
"Jules! He ran away and left me here! Help me Daddy!" Sean whined and pounded his fists against the legos.
"Hey Paul?" John already had his phone out. "Can you give me the number now?"

John had decided to have Ringo come a bit earlier than John would usually agree to. He was working super late tonight because he had to help out other artists with their works.
John wouldn't be home by 3 am seeing his situation.
There was a knock at the door and John ran for it, glad to see Ringo standing right there with a grin on his face.
"Hey," John smiled and pushed him inside. "Kids are down the hall. I can get them if you'd like."
"No it's fine," Ringo shrugged and followed John to the living room. "When should I expect you to be back?"
"About three in the morning, maybe later," John said and watched as Ringo's eyes went wide. "Listen you don't have to do it. I could get Paul to-"
"No," Ringo intervened quickly. "I'll handle it. If you need anything you have my number. I'll be fine with the kiddos."
"Such a strange word," John ran the word over and over in his mind. He grabbed his jacket and made his way to the door. "Tell the kids I left and I love them. See you soon."
He was out the door and Ringo had the whole house to himself, with the exception of the two kids down the hall. He was nervous as he walked to the door that hid giggles and whines of want. Ringo knocked softly on the door and the room became silent.
"Dad?" Julian called out. "What's wrong?"
"I'm not your dad," Ringo giggled. "He's out for a bit."
When the boys heard his voice they went running for the door.
"Ringo!" They called out and tackled him in a hug. They all hit the floor with laughter. "You're back!"
"I'm helping out tonight," he answered. "I promised to see you guys again."
"Can you help me with homework?" Julian had a hand around his wrist.
"Can we watch tv?" Sean was trying his hardest to grab onto at least two of Ringo's fingers.
"One at a time," he laughed and got up a bit. "Homework first, then we'll have fun."
"You're the best Ringo!" Julian smiled and dragged him into his room.
He didn't know it but they were so, so glad to have him back.
