John was nervous.

Today was "bring your kids to work day" and holy shit was he scared. He'd never taken both of them to work and he was scared that they'd knock over a painting or shred through a sculpture.

He tried to erase any possibility of disaster and possible unemployment as he walked down the block before the car could pass between them. He had taken Sean in his arms and one of Julian's hands as he walked into the busy subways where many people came out of the shuttle or the 1 train. John felt for Julian's head and kissed Sean's reassuringly before swiping the metro card for the three of them and passing though the gate.

Luckily they were able to get seats and John watched with tired eyes as Sean awed at the moving lights and sudden darkness that swallowed the subway whole. It was a short ride, only four stops, and they were finally out of the subway and back onto the street.

They were near Union Square and John was scared shitless of losing none of the boys in this mass of people. He balled a fist into Julian's shirt and kept an arm around Sean's waist. He didn't breathe until he finally escaped the crowd and the glass doors to the studio were into view.

"Alright boys," John sighed and stood outside the doors to the studio. "A lot of the things here are super expensive so I don't want you touching anything that could be even remotely interesting. Please boys, I can't lose my job over this."

Sean had no idea what he was talking about but he nodded nonetheless. Julian, who knew exactly what he meant, nodded gravely.

When they walked into the studio Julian let go of John's hand and ran to the first person in the office. A young woman looked at him in surprise and gasped when she saw John chase after him.

"He's yours?" She asked and he couldn't help but blush.

"Yeah," John said and grabbed hold of Julian's shirt tightly. "This one too."

"Can Ringo come pick us up?" Julian sighed, tears forming in his eyes. "I don't want to stay here."

"Excuse us," he blushed and pushed the boys to his office. It was huge and the boys were tempted to go through all the sketches on his desk. "Sit over here and don't touch anything."

Julian grabbed Sean's hands harshly and growled when Sean hit him in retaliation. He kicked Sean and as a result the older sibling was tackled.

"Hey Ringo," he had the phone on speaker as the boys continued to tell in the background. "Can you come over to my work and help me out for a few?"

"Send me the address and I'll be there." Ringo said and hung up.

"There, you blasted boys," John yelled over their cries. "He's coming over!"

The boys immediately stopped their fighting and smirked to themselves. Sean gave Julian one last shove and the older boy gave him one last kick before they went to opposite sides of the office.

When Ringo popped his head into the office door, John was the first to greet him.

"Hey luv," John looked up from his desk and put down the ink pen. "Look who's here kids."

"Ringo!" Little legs running for him and more tackling. He got up and went over towards John.

"Hey," Ringo smiled and bent down to hug John who still sat in his chair. "What do you need me to do?"

"Help me out with the little demons today. It's fucking 'bring your kids to work day.'" John sighed and kissed his son's head gently when he passed by him.

"Sure thing," Ringo smiled and pulled Julian onto his lap. "I was wondering something."

"What's that something?" John looked up from his drawing.

"Maybe after this we can go back to your house and just hang out with the kiddos? Y'know like having a sleepover or something like that?" Ringo shrugged and John's eyes went wide.

"I'd love that." John smiled.
