By the time that John was home it was 7:45 pm. Not as late as usual.
In the living room were Paul, Ringo, and Julian. They were quiet as they watched the telly, a bowl of popcorn set in front of them. John coughed loudly and the men turned their heads to see that he'd come home.
"Hey Daddy!" Julian ran for his father's arms and giggled when he was lifted up.
"Hey bud," John smiled and kissed his head. "You behave well?"
"He was on his best behavior today!" Paul laughed.
John watched as the two men on the couch got up to meet him. Ringo still stood awkwardly behind Paul with a nice blush on his cheeks.
"Were the kids any trouble to you?" John asked Ringo, letting Julian down on the floor.
"They were great actually," Ringo smiled. "Real charmers."
"Listen I'm sorry for what Julian had asked, he's still getting the hang of not asking personal information about others." John laughed nervously.
"Oh it's fine," Ringo shrugged. "It's all good."
"They loved him," Paul smiled. "They forgot I was here!"
"That's because you're only enjoyable for the first few minutes." Ringo said and Paul went bright red.
"I'd like to see you have to babysit them everyday." Paul scoffed.
"I'd be glad to do it." Ringo smirked.
"So you'd like to come again?" John asked. His eyes were screaming with hope.
"Of course," Ringo smiled. "They're nice kiddos."
"Kiddos? Never used that word before." John laughed.
"Come on!" Ringo gasped. "I thought everyone uses that word!"
"Clearly not," Paul muttered under his breath and was greeted by a thwack on the head from John. "What the hell man!"
"Daddy, what does hell mean?" Julian tugged on John's pants and all three men had wide eyes.
"Nothing Jules," John said, glaring at Paul. "Don't repeat what he says."
"Why not?" Julian pouted.
"Because if you do I'll make sure you never get to see Paul again." John threatened.
"But I always see him! I don't care about him!" Julian whined and everyone except Paul erupted with laughter.
"I knew I never should've taken you here. Everyone loves Ringo." Paul grumbled and kicked the wall.
"I guess so," Ringo shrugged and ruffled Julian's hair. "You like me right?"
"You're better than Daddy," Julian smirked. "Maybe Daddy likes you too."
"Julian we talked about this." John blushed and yanked his son behind him. "I'm so sorry he's still learning-"
"It's fine," Ringo smiled. "He told me you're bi and I know he's trying to hook us up. But you probably don't like me and we've only talked twice now."
"Well, let's not get so ahead of ourselves here," John blushed. "You seem pretty nice and the kids love you. Maybe you can babysit them instead of Paul?"
"I'd love that." Ringo smiled.
Paul winked at John and pushed Ringo to the door of the apartment. "See ya Lennon!"
Julian tugged at John's sleeve. "Hey Dad?"
"What's wrong bud?" John walked the boy back to the living room.
"Were you flirting with Ringo?" He asked.
"Did Paul teach you that word?" John sighed.
"Mhm," he answered. "Were you?"
"No." John was bright red.
"Uncle Paul said that when you do that you're lying your ass off." Julian said and John choked on the popcorn he grabbed.
"That motherfucker!" John yelled.
"Can I say that?" Julian asked.
"No." John said. "Oh that fucking idiot will pay."
