Recovery

After a few days Jungkook texted me saying that Yoongi was ready to see me for the 'work' that he had in mind. I got ready early in the morning and Jimin picked me up from the safe house on his way to FIRE.

I looked him up and down after I was seated in the car. He was so handsome in smarter clothing.

"I can't believe you work for FIRE now," I said, "Not only that, but you're an executive."

He huffed, "I was an executive for almost two years before Yoongi-hyung fired me."

"I know... I'm just not used to it." I said.

It surprised me when Jimin did not take me to the FIRE headquarter, but rather another warehouse located in the rural area. It looked abandoned from the outside. I was confused when Jimin told me to go in, but I did anyway.

I realised just how different it was inside from my expectation. Rather than it being empty and ran-down, it was bursting with life. I could see a few people pouring some colorless liquid into large bowls and some were cutting off leaves. Others were methodically stirring some mysterious substance. All those workers had medical masks on. Some men were patrolling around, overseeing the work. They glanced at us, evidently guarded as we walked in. One of them took out his gun and I noticed the rest's hands moved underneath their jackets, probably where their guns were hidden.

"Who are you?" The overseer, with his gun pointed at our direction, asked loudly.

While I was still a little alarmed by the gun pointed at us, Jimin was completely unfazed, but rather said in an annoyed tone, "I am Park Jimin, your superior."

"Oh," The man lowered his gun and the others seemed to relaxed a little too. "You are the new executive-nim."

"Not new, just returning." Jimin said. He grabbed my hand and pulled me along further into the warehouse. There was a little area sectioned off at the back and we entered it.

Inside, Yoongi was stood talking to Taehyung and some man I didn't know. His attention shifted to us as we walked in. Taehyung looked a bit uncomfortable chatting with the two. Yoongi quickly muttered something to the guy, and turned to us. "Let's not just stand here. Follow me." I did as I was told and walked after him with Taehyung. Yoongi said, "Jimin, talk to Mr Goo. He is the person overseeing this whole production line. He came about a year after you left. He can catch you up on our current situation."

"Alright," Yoongi began as we exited the enclosed area and back out into the production area, "Now that you two are here, let me explain what I have in mind. You know that I want to get rid of Bludhood once and for all. And for that, I need to get their leader.

"What is that?" Taehyung suddenly asked, pointing at some strange yellowish mesh that a worker is handling.

"Pre-oxidised cocaine paste," Yoongi answered.

"Woah," Taehung marveled as he looked around at all the pastes and chemicals. "Leader Kim's production line is so much smaller."

"Taehyung," Yoongi said to pull Taehyung's attention back as we passed the area with a strange chemical smell. "Do you know where Kim Namjoon is?"

Taehyung nodded, "Yes, but he is all the way in Goyang. Leader Kim told me he hides there because that is the region FIRE has least influence over."

"What he says is not incorrect," Yoongi said, "Which is exactly why we need you, Yerin."

At the mention of my name, I refocused on him from looking around, "Me? What for?"

"Technically, Bludhood is still in pursuit of you. I'm sure your brother is still trying to get you back even though him and Kim Namjoon are in hiding from us."

My brows furrowed as realisation of what he was about to ask me to do dawned on me, "You mean..."

"Yes, you will be willingly captured by Bludhood."

The plan was simple. Taehyung was going to pretended that he managed to capture me and bring me to Kim Namjoon. This was to lure him out. It was similar to how we washed off my suspicion of being the Busan Killer as in that I had to be captured both times. Yet it was very different; this time was a lot more dangerous. Whereas we were sure that the police would not cause me harm, there was no telling what Kim Namjoon might do to me. I couldn't even be sure if my brother would be there with him.

Of course, I was sure that there would be resistance from Jimin when he finds out that I might be seriously hurt. According to Taehyung, Kim Namjoon can be quite ruthless in achieving his goal.

"And what might be his goal?" Yoongi inquired.

Taehyung shook his head, "I don't even know. If there is one secret that no one knows about him, it's where he comes from and why he has always purposefully opposed FIRE."

"He is good at it," Taehyung added, "He turned Bludhood into the second most powerful gang in just three years."

Yoongi nodded, "Which is exactly why I need him eradicated."

"What happens after I get captured?" I asked.

Yoongi paused,"Then I will personally go to him," a dangerous smile spread across his face, "And I will mark the end of Bludhood."

"You agreed to do it?" Jimin asked after I told him about the information I received, him already knowing the answer. We were in his car again, driving back.

"Yoongi said it's the only way to lure Kim Namjoon out and end Bludhood," I explained.

Jimin sighed in annoyance, "You are way too trusting of him."

My brows furrowed, "What do you mean?"

"He says it's the only way, but of course they are other ways to do it without endangering you. Yoongi-hyung always has back up plans after back up plans."

"Then why would he ask me to do it?"

"It is the most efficient way. Yerin you have to remember Yoongi and Eunjung are not nice people," Jimin said, his eyes still focused on the road ahead. "They have killed a lot more than I have. Many people suffer because of them."

"Why are you suddenly saying this?" I questioned. I always thought that Jimin admired Yoongi a lot and would do whatever he says.

"So that you don't forget."

"...Do you not trust Yoongi and Eunjung?"

"I trust them, of course. But I am not sure if Yoongi fully trusts me again. I know him from the years we've been friends. If he doesn't trust you but it seems like he does, be careful."

"Jimin, I do realise Yoongi is the boss of a malicious gang. But he's been so nice to me so far, I just feel like I can trust him."

Jimin didn't say anything back, but just nodded instead. After a while, we arrived back at the warehouse. I said goodbye to Jimin but he shook his head, "No, you are getting back into the car."

"What, why?"

"Pack your things. We are going back to my apartment."
