As we neared Goyang, I was beginning to get fidgety. After all, the small glimpses I had had into what Yoongi and Eunjung do was already enough to make me question their morals, let alone a leader of an opposing gang.
"We are almost there," Taehyung announced after around four and a half hours of car journey. "Remember our plan?"
"Yes, I think," I said. "Pretend you tricked me into coming, play the innocent card, and just drag out the time."
Taehyung nodded. The scenery outside shifted from rural fields to more city-like; we must have entered the city of Goyang already. I unconsciously clenched my fists as I was once again reminded of what I had to do.
"Don't worry, it's going to be fine," Taehyung said when we temporarily paused at a traffic light. He must have noticed my nervousness. "Leader Kim is not an unreasonable man."
"But he's ruthless," I said, remembering how far he went just to try to kill Yoongi and Eunjung.
"So is Boss and Miss Oh. They are just as ruthless if not more."
"True..." I didn't know what else to say. So I just silently hoped that everything will turn out well this time.
After around thirty more minutes Taehyung parked the car at a quieter part of this city. We got off and started chatting as if we were just two friends going somewhere. Taehyung told me to turn a corner and I did.
Suddenly, two man jumped out and grabbed me. I started struggling just for show. One of the guys clamped his hand over my mouth to prevent me from screaming and they dragged me into the house behind. Taehyung followed. I stopped struggling as I got tired.
They dragged me along a corridor and pushed me through a door. They started searching me and taking my belongings off me. Then they shut the door behind and left me to walk alone. The room I was in looked just any normal living room. I cautiously walked forward, towards the only other door there was. I pushed it open, and turned out it lead to a library. Rows of books filled the shelves up to the ceiling. It was a rather cosy room as well, with a fireplace that was not on, and a few comfortable-looking sofas.
I jumped when a voice spoke. "Song Yerin."
I turned towards the source of the voice, and a man entered my vision.
"Are you the leader of Bludhood?" I asked timidly.
The man came closer to me... by controlling the wheels of his electric wheelchair. His steady gaze caught my eyes. He had eyes of a wise man.
He stopped a distance away. "Yes, I am Kim Namjoon."
"What do you want? Why am I here?" I questioned him.
"I will explain. Please, take a seat." He gestured towards a sofa next to me. I did as I was told.
"Would you like a drink? Tea or coffee?" Kim Namjoon asked.
"No thank you." I said, confused by why he was being so nice.
Someone else came through the door. It was Taehyung and my brother. I stood up when I realised it was him.
"Hoseok-oppa," I whispered. His signature smile broke onto his face and he hurried to engulf me in a hug.
"Rin! You are finally here!"
"What is going on?" I asked. My eyes traveled to Taehyung and I remembered I had to play my part. "Taehyung, what is this?"
"I'm sorry, Yerin. I'm actually a member of Bludhood." He played along.
I acted surprised and looked between the three men. "You, why..."
"Yerin," Namjoon spoke up, "We will explain."
I slowly sat back down onto the chair. Hoseok came and sit on the one next to me and Taehyung chose to go and stand behind the Bludhood Leader.
Kim Namjoon started, "I'm sure you've heard from Min Yoongi and Oh Eunjung about us. They told you that we are terrible people, am I right?"
I nodded.
"But if you were given a fair overview of both gangs, FIRE is far more terrible than us."
"No," I said, "You bombed Yoongi's mansion and killed so many other innocent people!"
"How many died then? Was it ten?" He huffed, "If ten people have to be sacrificed in order to get rid of Min Yoongi, then so be it."
"And you say you are not terrible?" I said accusingly.
"That is because if Min Yoongi is left alive in this world, far more people will suffer as a result."
"What do you mean?"
"Do you actually know what they do?" He asked.
I thought back to whatever I've heard from them and Jimin. "Drugs... killing... and fighting?" I said unsurely.
"Yes, but they also do human trafficking, underground prostitution, and underground gambling. That is how they get so rich. Those things destroy thousands of people's lives, and they are just three of the many things they do. They kidnap children to sell to pedophiles. They get woman addicted to drugs so they can control them to either use them for money or for prostitution. They purposefully rig the gambles to make people loose, therefore owning a massive dept to FIRE with extreme interest rate. There are countless more disgracefully things they do."
"But, doesn't Bludhood do that as well?"
Namjoon shook his head, "No, we have our set of moral code, and those things are definitely against it. Yes, we do illegal things, but never any immoral ones."
"Rin, its true!" Hosoek said, "Bludhood is a good gang compared to that evil gang of FIRE. As first I didn't believe it but after seeing the things FIRE does, I was convinced."
"But they have all been so nice to me!" I desperately tried to defend FIRE. This meeting was going in a wildly unexpected direction.
"That's because they are trying to brainwash you!" Hoseok explained. "You have to believe me! I only want the best for you, Rin."
Namjoon continued. "Do you want to know why Bludhood was started, and why we are so fixated on opposing FIRE?"
I nodded.
"The original executives of Bludhood comprised of ex-members of FIRE. We have all witnessed firsthand the terrible things FIRE does. Even I was once a FIRE member myself. Have you been told about the big internal strife in FIRE a while back?"
I remember someone telling me about it. "Yes."
"Min Yoongi killed my father in that fight."
My eyes widened. "What? Why?"
"My father was the previous leader of FIRE."
