Slight alteration/reminder: If Jimin kills Yun, the timed program would release the entire audio so FIRE and Jimin would be fucked. Yun will only stop the program with the condition that he releases the Yerin audio. So if Jimin wanted to save himself and FIRE, Yerin would be fucked and he would have to let Yun live for the time being.

"Jimin," I muttered. I was at a loss. I didn't know what Jimin could do. I obviously didn't want Jimin to be exposed and FIRE to fall as that meant Yoongi, Eunjung, Jungkook, and many more would go to jail. But...I didn't want to either. I could tell Jimin was having an internal dilemma as well. A crease appeared between his brows and his jaw clenched.
"You should decide quickly," Yun said. "Don't have much time left." As he spoke, the clock in his hand continued ticking down. "And you don't have other options."
Just as he said that seven more men rushed into the basement. They didn't look like Yoongi's men. That thought was confirmed when they pulled out switchblades and pointed them at us. Yun was right, we had to follow his order. Even though I knew Jimin was supremely skilled, I doubted he would be able to fight off seven with just one of Yoongi's man. I was useless in a real fight. So Jimin had to choose.
I knew it was an impossible choice for Jimin. Clearly, Jimin could not let the whole FIRE empire that Yoongi and Eunjung had worked so hard to build crumble just like that. But would he really give up my life for that? But I had promised myself that I would not let anything happen to Jimin and I just had a taste of how devastating it would be to have a life without him. If Jimin was exposed today he would I probably would never see him again.
If I could just get Yun to stop that clock... In order to get him to do what I wanted, I needed to align our interests. "Yun," I said, "Please just stop that. We can figure something out. What is it that you want?"
He huffed. "What I want? I told you: justice."
"Didn't you say you don't trust the judiciary system anymore?" I asked. "You are right to do that. We can quickly bury what ever you expose. What you are doing is useless. And you are also a criminal too." I nodded towards all those dead men on the floor. "If you release that audio the police are bound to question what happened here, and you will be held responsible for the deaths of all these people."
Yun chuckled coldly. "First of all, what I'm doing is not useless. You were only able to get away with it last time because Min Yoongi fooled the public. This time, this audio will go directly to the public. Then you will have nowhere to hide. Min Yoongi will be exposed as a criminal himself anyway so he won't be able to shield you. And I don't mind going to jail; I will be hailed as the investigator that bought the real Busan Killer to justice."
"Yun, listen, I have a way, a way where you can get your justice without going to jail." I bluffed.
"I can tell you are lying."
"No, I'm not."
Yun chuckled and rolled his eyes. Nope, he didn't believe me for one second. "Let me say again, there are only two outcomes. Park Jimin, either you kill me and destroy FIRE and yourself, or you let me free, and sacrifice Yerin. But I know which one you are going to choose."
My brows furrowed even more. "Which one?"
He smirked, "Park Jimin, I know you won't kill me. You are a psychopath. Psychopaths don't love. You don't love Yerin. You will never sacrifice yourself for her."
Would Jimin sacrifice himself for me? Yoongi did it for Eunjung when they were being attacked by Bludhood in their mansion. But Yoongi wasn't a psycho killer; Jimin was. Would he do it?
After a moment of silence, Jimin spoke up, "You are right. I won't sacrifice myself..." My heart skipped a beat in shock. What did he say?
"Jimin..." Mum muttered.
Yun grinned. "I knew it! You and I both know-"
"...No, I won't sacrifice myself. I will get us both out."
Yun let out a surprised laugh, "What? There is no way-"
I ducked at the sudden noise of a gunshot. Jimin pulled the trigger on a man standing next to Yun. Seeing this, the others immediately charged at Jimin. He shot two of them with the gun in one hand while holding me close with the other arm.
A cry was heard as Yoongi's man shot another. Jimin shielded me as we ran towards the other end of the basement with Yoongi's man giving us cover fire.
"I am out," Jimin whispered as we reached the wall.
"So am I," the man responded.
"Hand combat?"
The man nodded. The three of Yun's men were approaching us cautiously. Jimin and the man discarded their guns. Jimin whispered in my ear, "Stay behind me." And the two started approaching Yun's men as well.
Suddenly one of Yun's men jumped at Jimin with his knife. Jimin twisted his body to the side so he stabbed air, then grabbed his outstretched arm. He twisted it and the man cried out. However, he did not give up and used his other hand to punch Jimin on his side. Jimin grunted but didn't let go, instead twisting the arm even harder. Meanwhile, the other two of Yun's men focused on Yoongi's man. Even though he tried his hardest, he was unable to fend off two armed people with his bare hands. He was stabbed over and over in the torso until he spat blood and died on the spot. The two now turned their attention onto Jimin.
"Jimin," I whispered in apprehension. Could he fight off three people by himself?
Jimin noticed the other two approaching him. He dug his heel into the floor and pushed the man in his grip into the other two, causing all three of them to stumble backward. As soon as they reorientated themselves, they charged at Jimin once again. But this time, Jimin had picked up a blade off the floor. He quickly bent down to dodge a slash by the man that reached him first, then stabbed upward with his blade. The man screamed and fell to the floor holding his eyes. Jimin had blinded him. The other two both try to stab Jimin at the same time. Jimin dodged one but was unable to do so for the other side. Jimin grunted again when the knife pierced into his left arm. He pulled away with the knife still there.
The man that did it smirked, but it quickly faded away when he realised he didn't have his weapon anymore. Jimin raised his arm to kill that person but was blocked by the still armed man. He parried Jimin's blade away with his own and quickly bought it back down to stab Jimin. But Jimin was quicker. Jimin's blade was in the man's chest before he could stab him. He dropped onto the floor. Jimin pulled the knife out of his arm and turned his murderous gaze onto the remaining unarmed man.
The man backed away holding his hands in front of him. "I- I- surrender. I'm only working for him!" He jabbed his finger towards Yun. "Kill him! Not me."
"Oh, I will," Jimin said with a deranged grin on his face. He slashed his knife. Blood spewed out of the opening in his neck like a crimson fountain dying Jimin's clothes the same colour. He walked to the wailing man that he blinded. Jimin grabbed his head and bent it backward, then cut his throat from behind swiftly. The man made some disgusting choking noises before hitting the floor as a lifeless body.
I let out a massive sigh in relief. I ran back up to Jimin and threw my arms around him. He smelled of death. He stroked my hair gently with the hand not holding the bloodstained knife that just took multiple lives.
"Good show, good show," Yun spoke. He held up his phone. "But now you only have ten minutes."
