I looked around the room not knowing what to say.
"Rin, you must understand that it is the best if you come to us," my beloved brother said. "You are only safe here."
I shook my head, unwilling to accept this version of the story, "No, that's not true."
"Please, Rin, believe me. Believe us." Hoseok said and took ahold of my hand. He could see that I was distressed so he gently rubbed small circles on the back of my hand comfortingly. I looked at Taehyung, but he just avoided my gaze.
"Are you still not convinced Min Yoongi is not a good person?" Namjoon asked. He sighed, "I guess I have to tell you this. He is also the reason why I am never able to walk again." His gaze became slightly distanced as he described the event. "He shot my father right in front of my eyes, in my own home. I have been kept out of the gang from my father so I was defendeless back then. Even so, Min Yoongi shot me in the spine. He knew I wasn't dead. He knew I was suffering, and that was exactly why he didn't finish me off. He even laughed in my face as I was dying, saying how he was now in power after the death of my family."
I did not know what to think. I didn't know what to feel. The bombardment between Kim Namjoon's logical convincing and my brother's emotional appeal was starting to sway me. I looked down in confusion, but then the 'J' necklace caught my eyes. Yes, Jimin, he is in FIRE. The reason I had been on FIRE's side was because of him, so I need to stay for him. But... could what Hoseok-oppa said last time be true? That Jimin was just there to keep me loyal to FIRE?
I shook my head. No, I couldn't be questioning our relationship now. He didn't want me to be in FIRE in the first place. And he was only now working for FIRE once again because of me. There was no way they were working together to brainwash me. I believe in Jimin, and I always will.
But what about Yoongi? The side to him I've seen personally and heard described by Jungkook and Jimin was not an evil one. But the side Kim Namjoon presented was completely different.
"I know this must be hard for you," Namjoon said, "But I'm only telling the truth."
I looked to the guy behind him. "Taehyung, say something."
"You still trust what I say? After I have betrayed you?" Taehyung asked. He was still acting. That meant he was still loyal to FIRE.
"Taehyung, you did the right thing by bringing Yerin to us," Namjoon said. "You have done well. I knew from the start I chose the right person."
"Wasn't Taehyung an orphan?" I said. "Why did you choose him?"
"Mainly for his exceptional skill at making friends and getting people to trust him." Namjoon replied. "You trusted him. Even the higher ups of FIRE trusted him."
What he said was true. I never suspected a thing until Taehyung accidentally revealed himself as a spy when he decided to help FIRE. Somehow he even got close to Jungkook in no time, and got direct access to Yoongi and Eunjung, which some members never do even after working for FIRE for decades.
Suddenly, a beeping noise starting going off somewhere. Hoseok stood up in surprise and Namjoon was evidently on guard as well. A bunch of noises came from outside. Some people then barged into this library.
Yoongi, Jimin, and two more members of FIRE came into the room. When the beeping noise was still not stopping, I realised it was coming from right under my chin, from the 'J' necklace. I inspected it and found a tiny device with a small glowing red light in the back of the J. I realised what was going on.
"Kim Namjoon," Yoongi smirked as he held him at gunpoint. "So you are the person that blew up my mansion, and gave FIRE trouble?"
"Min Yoongi," Namjoon said, "Do you not remember me?"
Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "Should I?"
Kim Namjoon reached into his pocket. The two FIRE members immediately aimed at him and was ready to shoot, but Yoongi put up a hand to stop them. Namjoon slowly removed something from his pocket, revealing it to be a a brooch of sort in the shape of a raging fire.
Recognition flashed on Yoongi's face, and his smirk grew wider. "So you are alive."
"I am. And look at what you've done to me."
Yoongi laughed. "Pathetic. Why cling onto life and be a pest? Even if you try your hardest you will never be anything but a just a nuisance for me. You should have died back then."
Namjoon casted his gaze to me as if what Yoongi said just proved his point earlier.
Jimin came over to me and pressed one of the stones on the necklace. The beeping immediately stopped.
"So this has been a tracking device all along?" I asked.
Jimin nodded, "I have to keep you safe, baby."
Once again, I didn't know how I should feel about that.
Yoongi continued, "You didn't die that time, you are just allowing me to enjoy killing you again."
"Not so easy," Namjoon said and pulled out a book from a shelve. The whole shelve behind him swung opened, revealing a secret passage way behind it. While everyone was distracted, Kim Namjoon used this chance to grabbed me as I was standing the closest to him and pulled me into the passage with him. He quickly pressed a button inside and the shelve returned to its original place. A few lights also lit up, showing the plain concrete corridor. I banged with my fists what was once the entrance of the passage, but now just a wall. I can vaguely hear those on the other side.
"Jimin! Hoseok-oppa!" I shouted.
"Even if they hear you, they can't come in. It's locked dead." Namjoon said.
"But my brother is over there with a bunch of FIRE members! What if they hurt him?" I exclaimed.
Namjoon just started going the other way in his electric wheelchair.
I caught up with him and interrupted his way by standing in front. "Why did you grab me? Why didn't you take Hoseok-oppa?"
"I need you," Namjoon said. "You are the last hope for Bludhood."
