Evidence

I kept on guard as I followed Yun back down the building. I looked at him as we were standing in the descending lift; he was keeping his face expressionless and his eyes up on the correspondingly descending floor number.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked, not taking my cautious gaze off him.

"To your mother," was all Yun said.

The lift halted and its doors opened. Instead of the ground floor, in front of me was the basement floor. I followed him out and around to an underground parking lot. A click came from a navy four-seater when Yun pressed a button on his car key. He opened the right side of the car door and gestured for me to get in.  Instead, my feet planted themselves firmly in place.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Why are you doing this?" I suddenly mustered up the courage to ask. "Why are you still pestering me!? Why can't you just accept that Seoyun is the Busan Killer!?"

"Because I know she is not."

"Why would think that!?"

"I told you, I have evidence Park Jimin is the Busan Killer."

"Alright, show me. Otherwise I won't get in that car," I said defiantly.

My sudden change in attitude seemed to take him by surprise. "Wow," he chuckled, "alright, if you say so." He reached into the pocket of his light brow coat and removed a phone. He got a recording of sort up on the screen, turned the volume down, and pressed play.

"Jimin this is beef, not a person." My voice said.

"I miss it, to be honest." I recognised Jimin's voice.

"Do you? But you still do assassinations for FIRE now."

"Yes, but it is not where near as fun as serial killing and playing with the police."

I chuckled. "Well if you started killing again now it would be way too suspicious. Don't forget Seoyun is still on trial and not convicted yet."

"I know."

Then the recording paused for a bit and continued with a different track. It was of me talking with Jungkook instead.

I said, "It was good, got everything I need. It actually reminded me of that time we went shopping together."

Jungkook chuckled. "Let's hope we don't go back and find a kidnapped woman this time," he said, referring to how we discovered Seoyun when we arrived back at the apartment.

I laughed. "Yea... That actually turned out quite well didn't it? I mean, she was the one that warned me of the police raid, and now she had taken the blame for the Busan Killer."

"I know, I'm surprised how well it turned out. Letting go of a kidnap victim is never usually a good idea."

"I'm glad that didn't turn out to be the most terrible idea I've ever had."

My mouth was opened after that and no word came out for a few seconds. "....How... How did you get this recording?"

"Your phone," he said with a hint of a triumphant smile.

"You bugged it?"

He only widened his smile in response. I quickly took my phone out from my pocket and inspected it.

He chuckled again. "Not this one."

"Not this one? ...Oh. You bugged my old phone?" The phone I had in my hand right now was relatively new. My old one was taken away when I went to see Kim Namjoon. The Bludhood people took everything I had on me away after searching me and never gave them back, not that they would have had the chance to.

"Yes."

"That's illegal!"

"So is being the Busan Killer."

"You-"

"Other than this two recordings, I have heard every single thing you and those around you have said. You know, Min Yoongi and Oh Eunjung are quite trusting of you aren't they? They say quite a lot around you." His grip on the phone tightened. "I have evidence to bring down FIRE."

Shit. I realised this not only affected Jimin, but possibly Yoongi, Eunjung, and the whole of FIRE as well. I need to inform Yoongi. I need-

"I'll be having that," Yun said as he snatched my phone out of my hand. I instinctively tried to take it back but he retracted his hand up high to where I couldn't reach. Curse my average height.

"Now, get in the car," Yun said, laying his hand on the opened car door. I reluctantly got in while giving him a glare. He seated himself in the driver's seat. He suddenly leaned over me which caused me to back into the seat feeling slightly violated.

"Put the seatbelt on," he said while doing up my seatbelt for me. "Don't want to be arrested now do we?" And then he laughed at his own joke.

Through out the journey, I pondered on how I could contact Yoongi to inform him of what I had discovered. I obviously couldn't phone him. What was Yoongi's plan anyway? He said he would sort something out for me but what was it?

"Get off the car," Yun said as we came to a stop in front of some residential blocks. I considered just legging it before he got off the car but I thought the better of it. I couldn't run away with that important recording he had in his phone. He knew that too and that was the only reason why he wasn't watching over me like a hawk.

I looked around. It was like a small village, there were only two long blocks of flats facing each other. The colouring of the buildings were odd; the left block was coloured in light pink and the right block was coloured in dark green. The outer pillars were supposed to be white but the years had made them more of a yellowish colour. We walked down the unevenly paved road in the middle and turned left into a block labeled B2.

"Down," Yun said when there were a flight of upward stairs and a downward one. I took the downward flight and got surprised a little when I saw two men in casual clothes guarding the only door there. When they saw Yun they nodded and stood aside for us.

"Who are they?" I asked as we walked through the door.

"People I hired," he answered.

I surveyed the basement as soon as I entered. It was just a spacious area with no rooming. My eyes locked onto someone sitting right at the back of the basement surrounded by a few men.

"Mum!" I ran forward to where she was and the surrounding men did nothing to stop me. My mother put away the phone in her hand and stood up.

"Yerin dear," she smiled in greetings.

I looked her up and down; she wasn't hurt nor tied up. "You..."

Yun ambled past me and put an arm around her shoulders. He muttered into her ear, "Thank you for helping me bring Yerin here, dear."
