Death. Pain, horrors. Terror, dread, fear. That's all The Eye sees. Death. Pain, horrors. Terror, dread, fear: That's all The Eye has ever known.

The Eyelid flickers open, exposing a world of perturbation, a world of trepidation. All around, a fire of darkness burns through the light that never was; a shadow of fear creeps along the prickly grass, always ready to consume its victim. The death of souls, the death of hearts. The subduing of lives, the shattering of spirits.

This is all The Eye will see. This is all The Eye will ever know.

Life. Comfort, ease. Joy, passion, hope. That's all The Eye sees. Life. Comfort, ease. Joy, passion, hope: that's all The Eye has ever known.

The Eyelid flutters open, revealing a world of contentment, a world of equanimity. Everywhere, a flood of light gushes through the darkness that never was; a silhouette of composure stands tall and proud over the luscious, green grass, always ready to pacify its companion. The birth of souls, the birth of hearts. The growing of minds, the strengthening of spirits.

This is all The Eye will see. This is all The Eye will ever know.
